Thanks, however

In words of few Syllables can you advise which solution would be easier.
I've had a go but with limited sucess so far. (ie it didn't work)

Just need a little more detail in terms of identifying either the right links to amend or the right template to doctor.

Didn't get much help on the module usage forum so I thought I'd try here.

In Shoutbox 3

As I understand it if you delete the .css file from the module it defaults to the main site .css
If you amend/create a "shoutbox.css" this will overide the main site .css

This is clear and it all works as it says on the box!

However what do I need to do to get the popup only to see the shoutbox.css and the mainsite block revert to the default css.

In this way I can make the shoutbox popup a little more descreet and ensure that the shoutbox mainsite block is in keeping with the main theme.

or can I create a second css file and link this specically to the popup only?

How can I modify the background of the popup but leave the block on the site as it is? ie controlled by the .css file

I would like to make the pop up look a little like Excel or Word as many of my visitors use the pop up at work and minimise the the main site.

I've been asked by a few of the members on one of my sites to provide a link from the pop-up box back to the main site.

Had a quick look at the module files but I couldn't find the right file that I need to modify.

Any ideas?

I think I must be being a bit dim,

I have News topics, big story, top news and recent news which you would use elsewhere on the site to steer visitors to the News module but I can't see a "News Block"

If I make the News module invisible to Anonymous any visitor gets a Sorry dont have permission etc etc and get taken to the login page.
I'd like anonymous to see a couple of custom blocks saying hi welcome and all that, then when they have logged in these custom blocks then go (click them off in goups for registered members) and the visitor will then see the News module in all its glory.

If a redirect can't be done it would be nice for someone to say so.

I would like the News module to be the default home page for my registered members.
However I don't want Anonymous users to have access or see comments attributed to the news articles.

Is there a way of doing this?

Maybe having the default home page set to None and adding a redirect script to the login process that takes the registered user direct to the News module.

Can this be done?

Ok, I can see that,

however I have an issue in that the word, "e-mail" encripted or otherwise is worse than George Bush's name and I'd find it very difficult to sell if not impossible to the authority.

Ive been asked to find out if I can send confidential attachments from one member to another.
How big a job would it be to add this funtionality?

The attachment would normally be a two or three page form usually done in Word.
They used to use e-mail but this was found unsatisfactory due to e-mail hacking and the general paranoia over sending info over the net.
Using the PM system or similar the information should never leave the site so should be as secure as the login procedure.

I guess you could cut and paste into the PM system but you would lose the formatting etc.

When modifying Groups I used to get a selection box at the bottom so I could drag names to and from the group, as can be seen below.

However on a newer site I dont get the non-members box,
just a link to the search members page which is far less user friendly, see below.

Is this correct?
How can I get the non-members box back?
Or is this a function of a newer XOOPS release?
