@Tabasco

Don't forget, Google is your best friend. lol

From the reference here, did a search, ended on www.frxoops.org from there tohttp://www.xoops-modules.com/ (both French sites)

I edited the files to have my stations on it. You have to edit the files manually.

Cheers.

Yep, I really liked the Montisarts works. He's been inactive for a while now on his own site.

Actually if anyone could help me, I would like to create the same login that he has above his present theme.http://www.montisarts.com/modules/news/
Haven't had any luck, and when he tried sending the page to me it screwed up in the hotmail download.

Cheers.

Ya Cuckston, I understand the idea. But from my experience, on my local machine I have three different testing environments for xoops, easier and faster to test things when on you local machine.

Plus when getting into learning something might as well start with the foundation of it.

I've switched from Windows/ASP/Access to PHP/MySQL.

Hey Max,

Being new to XOOPS myself and deducing from your post that you are quite new to the CMS(Content Management System) world. I would suggest you install Apache, PHP, and MySQL on your local computer and test the XOOPS system along with its abilities before going for a wehosting package. If you have never done that, find EasyPHP (which will install all three above packages at the same time), it should work fine for a test platform.

This way you will learn more of the entire workins' of putting a site together. The learning curve on XOOPS is fair, but some concepts take some getting used to.

Basically everything you see on this site is already included in xoops, no need to program other things, it's all in the setup.

Cheers.

RC refers to Release Candidate. The 2.0.6 is actualy the official release which comes after RC. If i understand the lingo correctly.

One thing I have found a problem with in my installation is that in /template_c the system_block_login file still has the rememberme part commented out. Uncomment to see it appear on screen.

Simply backup the files and overwrite with the ones in the package.

Hey peeps,

I run 2 sites on the multisite hack and a 3 to be integrated. Just switched to XOOPS from an asp/access forum. They all still need work. And am hoping for a couple of modules presentely being developed.

Still in waiting of a good ladder/tournament system to integrate in xoops.

The Lion's Den - The Gladiator's Arena :: Competition, Ladders, Tourneys, Seasons for any game and gametype.

EOLeagues - Excessive Overkill Leagues :: League based on Mr.Pants Excessive Overkill MOD. Right now hosting the UT2K3-4 League. This site is available to host all leagues playing Excessive Overkill for all games using a version of this MOD.

KebeKlan :: Site just starting. Destined to be a place for Quebec, Canada players to communicate and inform others on their games and machines. Hence the title The Fraternity of GamerZ. Everyone is welcomed to participate.

GDL-WEB Hosting and Clan Services:: XOOPS also used on my webhosting in the member area for communication. Pretty basic setup, more for the forum and support aspects.

Request please:

For the Private Forum.
Is it possible to have the choice to make it invisible or not?
I have some forums that need to be hidden and others I want people to know exist but simply cannot acess.

Thanks.

This new newbb is something I need, I just switched from a very good asp forum to XOOPS for the cms aspect lacking in my other product. Cheers.

Check that the DataBase field for the uname supports more than 25 characters.

Even if you set 50 in XOOPS in DB only supports 25 you can't go higher.
