I have an urgent problem that I just can't figure out.

I made a change to XIM (to make it not conflict with extGallery jQuery effects), which after a minute or so gave me a complete blank screen on the entire site, doesn't matter if it's front or back end. Blanks the debug as well. I restored the old file, but the problem persists!

I have located the catalyst (though probably not the cause) in xim/preloads/core.php and if I remove that file I can at least get my site to work, but as soon as insert it again the site goes blank. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall XIM but to no effect.

Is something regarding the preloads stored in the db somewhere, so that a conflict can still be in place even if I uninstall a module or restore files? I really don't know what the heck is happening here.

I also touched another thing, but I don't see how that can affect things since I also restored everything there. Anyway, here's what I did:
1. Added the line
var $ = JQuery;
to xim/preloads/core.php (file has been restored to original state now)

2. Moved s3slider js script from theme.html to an article in Content module (article has been restored as well as theme.html, however the blank screen is also in admin side and is still there even if theme is changed)

Why oh why is my site blank? Please help!

Just went through it very quickly and it seems it covers everything. I have a feeling the structure (after the install/uninstall) could be changed to be more intuitive and process oriented, but I don't have a better suggestion at this time, so I should probably keep my mouth shut

Maybe I'll think of something when I write this for XoopsPoll.

Sorry, it seems to be OK now. For some reasons it took a few minutes to be reflected (I refreshed about 5 times after rating without any change).

I tried to rate a module here on xoops.org, but the rating was not reflected in the score (no. of stars). In this case, the module only had one rating before (an undeserved 1 star) so it was quite obvious my vote was not reflected (although it was recorded because I couldn't rate it again).

Is this a bug?

I would strongly recommend to make the switch to MyMenus. I actually moved from MultiMenu 2.08 to MyMenus on one of my sites today. The main reason being that the type of menu I was using (suite horizontal IIRC) wasn't working in IE9, and since that's being released on Monday...

Also, I find MyMenus is so much easier to administrate and has better functionality for what I'm using it for. Thanks for the module Trabis!

Thanks for updating this module. However, I haven't been able to get it to work. I replaced the original files with the ones in folder root, but no matter which files I try itjust gives me a blank page.

Also, in the admin side, the page for managing notifications doesn't exist.

I'm using Xoops 2.5.0, PHP 5.3.3, and MySQL 5.1.49.

Thanks for the tip. It turned out to be a language file in a module.

Checked mainfile. No luck.
Tried with the default theme. No luck (although that shouldn't be it since it's showing in the admin area as well, which uses the admin theme).

What's the edition date column?

I have a small problem. The characters
?>
are shown at the top or bottom of the body (after the header and before the footer, if it's above or below the actual body varies) of all pages, both front and back end. I guess I've been editing some files and accidentally put an closing of the code in there.

My problem is, I can't seem to find in what where the extra characters are. Can someone give me a hint where I should be looking (i.e. files that are used on all pages, both front and back end)?
