Thanks, all! I'll pm him. It looks like it could be pretty helpful. Just not sure how to make it happen?

What is the color picker element and how do I make it work? I had read about it before and understood from what I read that whenever XOOPS presented a form, that the option would be present to set the color for the various elements. But, upon examination and trials, I couldn't make it work. Maybe I'm missing something (honestly, I'm sure I am), but I notice no differences on my forms with the Color Picker. Can someone explain it and how to set it's utility?

Thanks in advance!

It's not listed, AFAIK, in the module repository. It can be acquired by downloading the 2.2.3 version of XOOPS and extracting the files. There are several modules in the extracted files - system, pm, and profiles. Profiles is the one you want. BUT, and this is a big BUT, I have NO idea if it works with ANY lesser version than 2.2.3_final. If it doesn't and you install it and it doesn't work, well, you can figure out the rest.

You can download 2.2.3_final here. Note that it is NOT considered stable.

I'm sure you've already done this but I know I've seen some posts in the past about modifying the registration form. So, just in the slim chance that you haven't checked that out, it might be worth your while to do a search.

On the fixed theme I had the following experiences:

Banner is present in both IE and FF.

In FF, it all looks great.

In IE, all of the content in the left blocks is shifted physically below the level of the bottom of the center column, though, of course, it is still in the left column.

I hope that this is clear.

Thanks,

Just doing some testing myself. Here's what I found on css100 with the fixes noted previously:

IE & FF - banner ads don't show

IE - the right column overlaps the center column as can be seen in the pic below:

Resized Image

FF - Looks good except that the highlighting of the footer is only partial. In IE the highlighting of the footer is great. Here's a pic:

I hope that this helps.

I'm so excited about this great work you folks are doing. I will test as I can.

Well, you can do two things:

1) Create your own custom block that functions as a menu - just put links in it.

2) You can also use the module MultiMenu which a lot of folks around here use..

Download is here.

An introduction is here.

Check here for a tutorial. It may be kind of dated but it should get you started.

Also, you should try a search on this site, sepecifically in the forums and in the FAQ.

HTH and Good Luck...

This story and the various comments made me chuckle from seeing people I've worked with. I try really hard to "be nice" and when I do I get screwed. It doesn't pay to "be nice" at the espense of being professional.

I do a site for a veterinary office and every year I dread renewing their account because I know they're going to ask for a ton of extra stuff, they'll want me to spend several hours training their staff on how to post a new article (RTFM -- Read the - uhh - fineprint - manual ), and they'll want me to fix their office computer. I always ask myself if its really worth it? Probably not.

Your comments technobia were entirely timely and a good reminder of valuing oneself, one's work, and one's professionalism.

Yes, you can delete them. XOOPS will rebuild them. In fact, this is a central part of the update process. I do it everytime I update or upgrade and often in between. Just don't delete the index or the htaccess file (though I do not have an htaccess file in there [templates_c] nor am I sure why you might choose to have one).
