During the installation of the Usermanagement 0.1 module in XOOPS 2.2.3 Final, I made the error of not giving anonymous users access rights to the module. Which means new users cannot register.

I made this mistake on two sites, and I found the fix was to re-install the module with the correct privileges.

The problem I have is with the second site, as I spent a lot of time customising the fields in extended profiles, and I do not want to loose this work by reinstalling.

Does anyone know which settings I can change or save\copy, to change the access rights for anonymous users?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using News 1.42 on XOOPS 2.2.2 – When using the Recent News Block, The block only shows Title and number of views. I cannot get any of the Article text to show, despite having the Teaser set at 25 characters, nor does the posting date display.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Does anyone know if there is a solution to this yet, as this a feature I desperately need for my new site?

I have found a way around this problem by going to:

Extended Profiles > Users > Search ( In popup window enter email address from the notification email > select Add

Then you can see the users details.

I know this is a long process but it gets the desired result :)

I have setup Extended Profiles on XOOPS 2.2.2 as I want to capture specific details on Registration, and them authorise the account manually , once I know the individual is a member of our Association.

So far so good – I get the email telling me someone has registered; I can search and see the Inactive Member, but cannot see their actual details.

I’m sure this is simple, but I do not know how to see their details without first authorising their account, which defeats the whole purpose.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am about to build a new website for our trade association, and will be using XOOPS :)

Should I go with 2.2.3 RC1 at this stage, as the site will not go live for a few months yet?

If not and I use 2.0.13.1, will I be able to upgarde later, without any loss of data or features?

I have recently downloaded (twice incase first time was corrupted) XOOPS Chat 1.5, but after installation all I get is a blank screen, both for user and admin.

Switched on Debug PHP and got the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: xchatuser in /home/sambmem/public_html/modules/xoopschat/include/xoopsuser.php on line 15
Notice [PHP]: Use of undefined constant php - assumed 'php' in file modules/xoopschat/class/user.php line 1

Can anyone, please tell me how to fix this?

Thanks
