There an option in the preference to allow the user to select their default theme. This works fine until you logout and log back in again at which time the theme reverts back to the system selected default theme.
When they log back in is there a way to get the theme to restore back to what the users have selected as their theme?

I find that I need to create my own module (Unless someone knows of a simple inventory control module). Where is a good place to find the documents on how to write a module and also what routines and variable are available in Xoops?

I assume that the lack of replys means we have run out of possible solutions. So I gave up and went back to the old forum. I'll try again in maybe 6 months when the new forum has been debugged a bit more. Thanks to JdSeymore for trying to help me.

I should probably say I'm using a Windows 2003 server with IIS 6.


I din't know if these help but when I turned on PHP debug and I get this error:

I don't even know what that is, so I'd say no.

Playing with it a bit it look likes it can't find the header and footer info for the forum. If I create a forum the forum appears but the top and bottom of the block have the garbage. If I type into the search box and hit ENTER the search page comes up but with garbage at the top and bottom again and missing text and graphic on the search box.

No change, still have the same garbage showing in the forum.

Sorry that I appear stupid but I still don't understand this bit (I've only been using XOOPS a couple of weeks ). In the templates I only have a default template with the option to "download " or "clone". Does this mean I should clone the default template? And how do I regenerate?

No matter what I do I cannot get it to work.

I even tried:
1. Uninstalling the old forums.
2. Deleting the Newbb folder
3. Replacing the Newbb folder from the zip file.
4. Reinstalling the forums. Shows version 2.0
5. Setting permissions.

But when I go into the forums I still get the
garbage.


There is a line in the readme_first.txt that say.

"Update the newbb templates". But I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here.
