you know what? What I suggest to you is that you replace all the core files with 2.2.3 final, since I remember you used 2.2 to 2.2.3 files and we had to use upgrade.php inorder to make anything alright which was really wierd. So what I think is that your website wasn't 2.2 or if it were some files were corupted that caused all these to happen. I guess if you replace all of the core files and update the system and cbb modules it may work.

I suggest that once a user is registered a greeting message with all the links to useful recources and FAQ should be sent to both his/her email and PM. This will both help the user to find useful information and reduces the newbiw material in the forum.

Yeah that's what I just noticed in your website, my posts there are -7!
HAve you tried reseting the templates? I got the same problem when I tried to upgrade from newbb 2 to cbb .
also there is another way to reset synchorize all the users.To do this, I think there is a feature in the core to SYNC one user, now if you change the files that synch function is defined there,and change the user argument to "all" it may work. I do not know that with 2.2.3 but it used to work with XOOPS 2.0.7.3.
Anyway Just try to find the user SYNC function and change it to all.

So what I ask here, is the we should some how contact the developers and the designers and thell them that they should change this!
If we can't then one of the best ways is to do what I just said1 We should make an option for the block to be displayed or not!

OK, I agree with Herko, but one thing that I cannot understand is that, if there is templating system, then why we do use block_title variables in the theme in the first place? I know it is easier to do it that way, but it's just the waste of time for both a theme developer and also for a user to change all these templates and the themes.
What I suggest is that, we should either put this block styling in the theme.html away forever, and use the actual templating system or either there should be an option in the blcok administrating area so that if I choose the false value in the block setting, the block title may not be displayed. This is the best way of all I think, since there is no need to basically change anything in the themes, and also you can change the block appearance in the templating system to what ever you like.
<edit>
As for LazyBadger's smarty codes, I think they are very useful, but if you want to define for each block what should it look like in theme.html, firstly, it is very difficult, secondly, you may not get what you want at the end due to block height stuff, and lastly, it takes a lot of time, and for every block you add you have to change your theme.

RTFM - Smarty syntax and functions... I posted my ideas for "block-specific decoration in a theme" some time ago - nobody wanted to test my code-snippet

If you would kindly give us a linkI would be really happy!

@Mith:
I agree that setting colors might not be such a good idea, but what about block-header visibility? THis is what I think is making all XOOPS site look the same.
For instance if I do not wan to have headers in a block what should I doo? edit the theme and take off all of the header? No I do not want to take off all of the header but just a few blcoks.
