Ok, I figured out how to call the username with html code..

<a href="http://www.pagename.com/userinfo.php?uid=idnumber here">

Avatar seems a bit harder.. I can of course just add a link to the avatar, but if the user changes avatar you would have to update the block manually...

How can I call for a users avatar with html?

I need to add some users username and avatars to a block and I want it to look just like the "most active members" or "new members" block.. This should be pretty simple huh? =)

I don't have a module as a startpage, just some different blocks showing on the top page.

New info about this..


I do not run northon antivirus, and I admin 5 different XOOPS sites myself and I only have problems with one of the sites.

The problem is:

Loading the "startpage" that you come to after loggin in takes AGES... I can browse all the parts of my page without any problems except the "home" section. If I click the "Home" button it takes several minutes before it get loaded, all other pages works like a charm. So when logging in I have to wait several minutes to get the startpage, then if I klick the "Home" button after I've logged in, I have to wait several minutes before it is loaded...

Its weird..

I have a problem on one of my XOOPS sites, when I try to login, I get the "please wait... if the page doesnt load, klick here" page.. then nothing happens.. I try to klick the link and nothing happens.. Its been like this for a while and I've tried from many different connection but it doesnt work anywhere..

I need a very simple module for a page I run but I have no skills what so ever when it comes to building modules so I am hoping that someone can help me out.. =)


On the page, we let people borrow some stuff (its a homepage for a martial art group) so I want a module that can do the following:

1. Display stuff that people can borrow
2. Let page members put themselves on a list for each item they want to borrow.
3. Display the lists so people can check who the next person to borrow the item is
4. Display who currently has borrowed the item, the date the person recieved it and the date when he/she has to return it.
5. Admin option to manually enter names into the lists. (not just page users but names in general).
6. Display a nasty message when someone hasnt returned the item in time.. =)


Something like that.. anyone who lacks things to do that feel they can waste a while of their life doing this. ? =)

I have tried searching the forums but I cant find the threads I am looking for.. I am sure there are threads that deals with how to show for example Real Name instead of nickname in forums, news etc.. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I am really looking to show YIM instead of nick everywhere on my page (Changed the YIM field to something else).. =P

1. I have had problems with the page showing albums. If i upload new pictures to an album, it doesnt show on the album list page.. For example, if I had 5 pictures in an album and upload 5 more, the album list page will still only say that I have 5 pictures in that album..

2. When trying to access the "personal albums" I get "there are no personal albums" even when there are albums in that category and it even shows in the category list ("Albums 3")

3. When I "upload picture" I get the message "There are no images to display" and get sent back to the category view.

I have had more problems but I cant recall them all right now.. Also, I miss features like batch upload for users, disable ecards (not only turn them off, but removing all traces of it in image information, the button for it, etc.. I know this can be done manually but it is a pain.. =)

Contrary to what you said before, xcGallery does not have many, if any, bugs. What have you found wrong with it. Many people are using it without a problem.
