Yes, use WRAPS by gijoe. excellent module for including single or multiple pages in xoops. I have a whole collection of 5000+ pages all integrated into XOOPS using wraps. Includes images .Js and other objects.

We've often seen the post; please show me an example of a certain module. Here's a little tip using Google to find examples on the internet'

Google has an advanced operator called 'allinurl' If you use this in a search you will get results for all/any sites with a certain search string in the URL.

EXAMPLE: search for:-

allinurl:/modules/xcgal/ (xcgal is the module you want an example of)

This search will return all sites with **/modules/xcgal/** in the url.

**/modules/---/** are fairly unique patterns to xoops, as we use /modules/ folder as the directory home for (nearly) all modules.

Try it! providing sites have been crawled, you'll find examples easily.

NOTE * denote preceding and following strings which we do not need to know, but will be part of the URL */

I know this is late in the day, but I would recommend you use WRAPS by JIjoe

Very powerful module to incorporate html pages, including whole website structures, objects and images.

I strongly recommend WRAPS by GIJOE. This excellent module will take any html page and reincorporate it into xoops. I imported 5000 pages of html with no problems at all. Search engine friendly URLs, XOOPS searchable and retaining site css style sheet.

Worth a try!

Simple: get your hosts to reset your login details (password) the database does not change, it's only the permission to connect to it that matters. Once they issue you with a new username/password, you just upload it and connect as usual.

CAPTCHA would be very useful in the core and we have asked for this before. In the mean time I have found a useful option here; Put this in your .htaccess file

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^(http://www.)[a-z]+-[a-z]+- [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)http://%{REMOTE_ADDR}/ [R=301,L]

It reduced my spam considerably.
