Another update......

Noticed that there on dev.xoops.org is a few update files...

Yet.. those can't be downloaded because they aren't on the server it seems... ?

Perhaps that could fix my problem..... if only I could get to them.

I installed XOOPS v.2.2 and have updated it to 2.2.3..

Now, in NewBB I have various problems in the administration module of it....

Fx. when I go to edit one of the forums, I get this error:
Quote:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: xoopsformselect() in /home/www/renegade.insane-asylum.dk/modules/newbb/class/formselectuser.php on line 34

And the same error actually also comes when I try to create a forum... despite that.. the forum IS created.. but I can't edit it...

What can I do about this?

So... here's what I was thinking....

I'm setting up a multigaming guild website.

For each various game, I'd like to have a seperate template/skin.

So, I was wondering.. isn't it possible in one way or another, to set a piece of code into a block that checks if one of the links are clicked, and if they are, then before that page is displayed, the template used on the site is changed?

That has to be possible in one way or another since the theme selector pretty much do that on the fly.

Could someone give me an example on a piece of code in a block that contains hyperlinks to content pages, AND changes the template on the site.

There naturally have to be a check to see if the template you wish you change to is already applied... no need to change it every time you click on a link.

I really hope someone can help me with this.

Thank you.

Forget the entire last post.. all the setup I needed was in extended profiles...

My logic told me that the configuration for that module only had something to do with users already registered.. but I figured out that this actually had confuration for new user registration and so on.

Sorry for having wasted your time...

Ok.. this may be me being stupid.. but I can't find that anywhere....

When I click Preferences, I have the following:

System
Extended Profiles
Forums
Private Messeging

Now.. I presume the only place we can do anything here is 'System' under which I have:

General Settings
Meta Tags and Footer
Word censoring options
Search Options
Mail Options
Authentication Options.

Now... I've check the general settings here, and there isn't any option in there that can enable or disable new user registrants....

Of modules, the only module I have where I can do any configuration that is related to this is the system module as well... there isn't any user configuration module or anyting like that. I can click on Modules and then Administration.. and then I can click on the System Module icon to edit configuration there..
In there I get the following:

Avatars, Banners, Blocks, Comments, Find Users, Groups, Image Manager, Mail Users, Modules, Preferences, Smilies Templates, User Ranks.

Nothing much to do there... since most things here are relinks to things I've already been to.

Then I went to the 'User' menu in the top.
This menu holds links to some of the same things which also is listed above.. but I went to 'Groups'.. and here I can see the group 'Anonymous Users'... now I presume this is where the real problem is.. that Anonymous Users don't have access to register.

When I click on modify on the anonymous group, there is no module related to registration.. user or anything that can be clicked. I can only click on access rights to the forums and extended profiles...

I checked the blocks section as well, and can see the login block which is related to the system module. When I edit that, Anonymous Users are also marked so they can see it..

The thing just is.. I can't find anywhere I can edit actual access restrictions to a certain module... this is where the whole problem is.

I think you or someone else needs to give me this in a step by step manner.. because I simply can't see where the permissions are set wrong.....

Modules looks fine... anomymous have access to view them all. ... nothing seems to be wrong.

New user registrant enabled you say? Where do I enable/disable that? Haven't found that anywhere.

Thanks again.

For some odd reason, I'm getting permission denied when I click the 'register now' link in the login block.

I've searched about everywhere my logic tells me this should be a problem.. but.. for some reason I can't make it work.

Could anyone tell me what the problem is please?

If you wanna see for yourself, then please go to:

Thank you for your help in advance.
