Just my experience, Oledrion works great with :
- this host
- and this local tools : wampserver
The only thing I have done :
- rename .htaccess to _.htaccess (to install Oledrion on wampserver)
- not activate url-rewriting option (not tested yet, but I'm sure that it works if hoster is compatible)
Hope you will able to use this fantastic module ! (you might install it on a local environment to test it)

I guess it is not very important but sometimes we have to hack core files to modify pages presentation. Then, it is not very easy to upgrade core...
An example with $pagenav variable (Xoops 2.3):
- green color : what I can modify with stylesheet
- red color : impossible to modify with stylesheet, Core file have to be hacked
... because underline is directly wrote in www/class/pagenav.php

What's theme name ? And what is your XOOPS version ?
About Morphogenesis, some XOOPS files (Core) have to be change. Those files are available here : Xoofoo.org
• for XOOPS 2.0.14 to 2.0.17, you have to download "Hack Core (2.0.17) for Mor.Pho.GEN.e.sis". 4 files are :
- /include/common.php
- /include/functions.php
- /include/site-closed.php
- /language/english/theme.php
(other files are not strictly necessary)
• for XOOPS 2.0.18 / 2.0.18.1 / 2.0.18.2, you have to download "Hack Core (2.0.18 et 2.0.18.1) for Mor.Pho.GEN.e.sis". 2 files only :
- /include/common.php
- /language/english/theme.php
• for XOOPS 2.3.x.. there is also a package but I'm not sure that it works fine with 2.3.RC2 (we are waiting for Kris_fr... still in vacation, happy man)

About your installation trouble, perhaps your theme had been made for an old version of XOOPS (2.0.14...). So you have to update it with the right package
