It just says "Powered by XOOPS 2.0" in mine

Really? When you are in the admin area it still says that?
Thats odd.

Anyway here is your final answer:

Check in the XOOPS root the directory include and look into the file version.php

Of course this should normally not be neccessary because its supposed to show up at the bottom of the admin page.

Please check your mainfile.php

How did you setup your url?

As www.sitename... or just sitename...(which i´d guess).

Change it to www.sitename... and try again.

(Actually you can even enforce having the error or not depending on which url you call your site right now)

Must have been a hell of a thread since he lost more than 50 posts in this case.

Seriously i am either not aware of any purging so no real idea what might have happened. Hence the question if others experience the same. 1 or 2 by a deleted thread possibly. Could happen e.g. on spam threads which are usually moved and later deleted. But larger numbers like this ...

Though you might find one or two topics about postingcounters going wrong. Have seen that once or twice as an issue over the years in the forums.

@kris_fr:

I am not even going to talk to you about this since you are even crazier then david in this regard. 9647 postings? (on x.fr)
Man ... you got a life besides this?

Anyone else experiencing this?

I am not sure about mine since at some point david ran so far off that i stopped watching my counter. Though he hit the 5000 quite some time ago ... hmmm maybe he should have hit the 6000 already.

Thank you very much for compiling the list. I was kinda loosing track myself reading over and over again. And yes i agree its an important point.

Just one clarification. I believe it was not forgotten but did not get the attention it deserved due to to close naming with another group. I assume this end-user aspect was actually part of what phppp listed as "Community-Coordination Team".

In your list at the top you should replace that term actually with "Community Communication Team".

Original threads:

Community Communication Team

Community-Coordination Team

And yes the names are to similar. Earlier there was the suggestion from dj to join Moderators and Community-Coordination Team into one group. After giving it some thought the last hours i would more likely vote for splitting the listed tasks and instead have seperate teams. Some of them are more likely fitting into your suggestion of an end-user orientated group and some of them in moderation.

So we might find a name a bit more differentiated and further task definitions for that group?

So you are available for taking the lead on that as Blue Stocking suggested?

How about a compromise? We could probably change the "Who is online" box to either add a [Mod] tag or show the mods in color or both. So you can still quickly find one if online but at the same time we are not hiding.

Think that would be acceptable?

From experience ... i agree that doing too many things at the same time can prove to be counterproductive.

Just some comments:

- "hiding" behind a name like "moderator1" would be a no go for me. If someone wants to talk to me about a moderation he can just contact me. If he has to complain about an anonymous moderator ... he needs to be found first.
Do you really know many boards with anonymous mods?

- Teamleader yes or no? I think its not really mandatory though sometimes usefull. We worked well together without having a teamleader in that group for quite some time.
(not counting the time where people simply wanted to fight and stirr things up)

If we were allowed to moderate properly, then the management & community would have supported the moderators fully, but no, the personal attacks kept coming and we were powerless to stop it because we were accused of censorship & were not allowed to moderate properly.

i second that. Whatever we tried at that time there were enough people to say its wrong to do it either way.
