id like to see where it goes

one REALLY good thing would be to have the ability to import ones PRESENT Yogurt information into the new build module

otherwise im going to have 11 hundred pretty pissed off users lol

How to make site wide setting changes via SQL database?

Ok theres a couple default settings id like to change (TO)
While i can go into the admin panel and change certain settings
this will only accomplish it for people who will register AFTER i make the changes.
Id like to change these settings via SQL tables and i need alittle help on that one here Because id like to alter the settings of EVERYONE who will register shortly and for the people who are already registered with the site.

Here we go
This would require someone who has a bit of knowledge with SQL commands.... hope youre out there

in the SQL table " xoops_users "
i need to change this table
notify_method
the default should be " 2 "
0= diable
1= Private Message
2= Notify Via Email
Im looking to change this site wide to: notify_method = 2

Also

for Default Comment Display:
SQL table = xoops_user
usertable = umode
default setting should be = flat

right now it says = nested

I know theres an sQL command line that can be written but im not adept on doing that

wasnt there a downloadable module that you can..well..download

or some HACK in the repository?

i think i remember if you were going to use it
you HAD To have the latest version of Dreamweaver

howerver if you already have Dreamweaver v8 or above
there is a SMARTY CODE plugin you can add to it from the Adobe.com website

Which means you would be able to create your theme using dream weaver and the plugin would add the smarty tags

well now this leaves me another qeuesion

how to i show a BLOG with the TAGs in it ?
Say the want the block showing on my ( X ) page of the site

when someone clicks a TAG LINK in the cloud, it would show results of things tagged with the same

so at this point i guess im missing a TAG CLOUD BLOCK lol

im looking at my CBB and my NEWS and the settings for both
With both SUBMIT windows open
i see no place to add tags except

in the NEWS submit page i see a line for META WORDS and another for META description

other then that i see nothing about TAGS ( and yes i installed it )

I see on this XOOPS site a block with TAG CLOUDS
where do we get this one?
and does it tie links to similar submitted tags for other items in the site?

say i click a tag link ' SEO "
i see a page show up with a link but what usualy is the information relevant to?

while you can see links against a dark background
you now cant see them ( hardly ) over a light background
i know this ia because some time ago i changed the code in the newbb folders
but i cant find the reference to it
