I recently downloaded and installed WF-Downloads.
What I am trying to do is have each user be able to store private files or have the administrator upload files visible to specific users.
However, WF-Downloads seems like you can only assign permissions per group and not user.
Is there any way to do this with a module? Please help.

Uhh... I'm not sure what you mean. That blue in the background isn't actually considered a column. It's just the background.
Are you trying to get your site to stretch all the way to the right? If so you need to change your header.html and footer.html
You have to look the table code. You can look at the header.html file from any original xoop theme that has the look you want and copy over the table formatting to your new theme.
I'm not sure if XOOPS lets you edit the header.html file so a mod would probably give you a better idea.

Ok, so I like to take themes and modify them instead of starting from scratch. Now I have the following questions:
1. At what point does a redesigned theme become mine? Do I always have to credit the person I took the idea from? Many times customized themes look nowhere near the original design but is it still necessary to credit the original author?
2. Formatting credit on themes. In many themes original authors like to use several lines one for their credit. Is it OK to merge this onto one line? Or is it completely forbidden to touch the credit by the original author?

I looked through all the links and the selection seems very thin. Am I missing some common resource everyone uses and knows about?

but there is no specific module similar to the PHPNuke Messages which automatically adds stuff to your page.
If not I think I'll be going with a custom module.

I've been trying to search for themes for XOOPS and I have found the selection very thin. Are there any decent XOOPS theme sites with reasonably priced themes?
I like to use premade designs and customize them.

While I do agree the some variable width layouts can be very functional and aesthetically pleasing the layout of this site and in the Themes Library are in general very fisher-price-esque.

What I'm talking about is the big blocky menus. The entire page itself which with it's variable width comes off looking way too wide.
I've been designing web pages and while the core of XOOPS itself is very powerful many of the themes limit it's marketability.
Are there theme packs I could possibly buy which are meant to look professional and clean? While I can understand the reasoning behind XOOPS and their variable width aesthetically it is not the most pleasing.
