Thank you Aloha, I hope you will all take advantage of this new concept to offer innovative services in your websites.

I am designing a complementary webdigest feauture for FreeContent, it will also summerise automatically the text portion of webpages and thus, making a readable abstract of any webpage with text and links.

On my both english and chinese site I use cache with 5mn, and no problem.

BTW you have a pretty looking site.

Just one small problem:

It seems that if I'm using the cache feature with Free Content and use both web digest and own html files, Web Digest doesn't work. Without the cache feature - no problems.

Yes, this is no longer RC

The magicNews block is now restricted to only show admin assigned webdigests, to prevent abuse.

Chinese language encoding conversion is now full automated.

several minor bugs are fixed.

WarDick,

- CURL library is now a standard package of PHP 3.3 or >. for old releases of PHP you will have to install it as an extension.

- Enter standard url to Webdigest, (http://.. or http://www.site.com)
Freecontent timeouts 15s to retrieve your page, on a busy line sometimes the results can be empty.

- permanent links can be entered with admin of Freecontent 3.0

Hope this helps

With WebDigest capability we expect FreeContent 3.0 becomes the first Knowledge oriented content tool for Xoops.
