I noticed that. Thank you. Now, if you all can work out your differences, I am sure the rest of the XOOPS world look forward to seeing what new projects you guys come up with.

I for on would love to see you all come up with a really kick ass gallery system, because I get so many complaints from my users about xcgal. But that is a whole other issue.

Be well.

true... and the support is slow too. But to just take everything away from us??? :0(

I did a search on this site, and it doesn't even seem like the modules show up in the module repository anymore. Is this the end??

Wow.. it doesn't just say closed for maintenance or something like that. Further notice seems kinda serious. I hope everything is ok. They make great modules.

hmmm... I see what you guys are saying. I guess its not a "major" bug. But I feel like it is poor design then. But I suppose I'd have to take that issue up with coppermine.

The problem is, I didn't take the photos but the gallery system conveys it as such to our users. I allowed the user to upload them to the server via FTP. But there is no option for them to batch add under their account and there is no option for the admin to choose who the photos are submitted by. I wonder if there is the possibility of adding a hack to choose who photos are submitted by. Or possibly can that line be hacked to show the owner of the gallery rather than the person who submits the photo??

It is not a bad gallery system, but there seems to be no support from the guy who made it XOOPS compatible. If there were a user batch upload option, that would fix the issue. Do you guys know of any plans to pick this project up again and further develop it as a solid XOOPS module? It really is the cloest thing to what our particular site needs at this point.

Thanx for all your help and support on the XOOPS project!

This really sucks. I just found out when and admin batch uploading photos for a user, the photos will show up in the user's gallery, but each photo is displayed as "submitted by: admin".

This is horrible! Is there a fix for this available?

Also... I don't know if you noticed how much I hacked xcgal.... but I thought I'd point out how I force users to remain in admin mode because I thought it was way too confusing. Don't ask me how I did it though.... I can't even remember now!! Ha ha... But I thought you might think that was a neat idea.

Cheers.

Wow... You are on a roll!!! Thank you soooo very much. I also have a few more questions for you or anyone else about this gallery.....

1. Any chance that you know how to display how many photos each user has in that same line on their profile?

The line that is displayed on the gallery page says something like: "4263 pictures in 62 albums viewed 8067 times"

2. Do you know how to add a text input box under each photo that allows the owner of that photo to edit the caption? I saw this on a gallery once and it was really useful.

And maybe just maybe you might know the answer to a similar question I have about our download section. I posted it here:

that worked excellent!

Now if I could just make it say "View(username)'s Gallery".

I tried plugging i <{$user_name}>'s but it only sort of worked. Any ideas Ric?
