Predator-

I am also very excited about some of the upcoming features --- I am hoping that you will be able to help those of us that run XOOPS on an IIS platform. I won't repost the issue entirely here but it is detailed on this thread https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=16626&forum=21#forumpost69929

Bottom line is that people using IIS & XOOPS have an issue with logging into the forums properly. It always redirects users to /modules/newbb/ instead of redirecting the user to the proper thread.

This issue has not been resolved. I have posted both here & on the sourceforge bug tracker with no real movement on a resolution.

I've used Mozilla since the 1.0 days & it can be a little flaky at times when you have multiple tabs open but other than that it is great. Its also my understanding that it is more compliant to standards than any other browser out there.

Hey everyone -

I am looking for a Document Management System - it doesn't matter if its integrated with XOOPS or not. I am willing to look at both OpenSource & Commercial apps. Any suggestions??

Thanks

This has been an on-going issue since I migrated to XOOPS 2.x from the 1.x version. I am currently using 2.06.

When a registered user (who is not logged in) browses the forums on my site & wants to reply, they type in their user info & hit the login button. They are logged in with no problem however they get the following error message:
Quote:

ERROR: Forum not selected!

If the page does not automatically reload, please click here

They are then redirected to the forum index page. This happens on ALL systems ruuning IIS - I can point you to several XOOPS sites running on IIS & we all have the same issue. I have posted info on this issue before but apparantly the post in no longer available --- if my recollection serves me correctly, others that aren't using IIS but are using Apache are having similar issues. It may be a Windows thing - not sure. What burns me up about this is that it didn't happen when I ran XOOPS 1.3 so please guys & gals on the dev team, look at this.

I will be more than happy to work with you guys to get this issue resolved.

Other than that, XOOPS kicks some serious butt & is by far the best CMS out there !! Thanks for all your hard work Dev Team!

I meant CuteFTp and WS_FTP --- regardless, you can upload whole directories by dropping & dragging. For instance - on WS_FTP the FTP host sits in the left pane & your local directories are on the right pane. Grab the directory that you want to upload from the right pane and drag it over the the left pane. Voila

Just want to make sure that everyone is clear on this --- there is no FTP client out there that will allow you to change persmissions on a Windows Host.

You can use SmartFTP or WS_FTP to upload directories but in 10 years, I have never seen an FTP client that has the ability to change file permissions on a Windows Server. Even the FTP client that ships with Windows doesn't allow this....

ono -

That took care of the problem - can no longer delete members that are part of the webmaster group.

Good Job as always!
