The download link for core 2.2.3 does not seem to be working

Have tried four or five times today
and it keeps timimg out

I might not be very clever but I can lift heavy weights!

Re-installed and it seems to work now.

Anyone else had a problem with these blocks on 2.2.3?

The new member block and the who's online block appear but are empty.
I've checked the permissions and have enabled registered and Webmasters everything but no content in the blocks.

Any clues how to fix?

Not 100% sure where this question should live, so forgive me if its in the wrong place.

I want the home page to be News.
However I do not want anonymous to see the news items but just a welcome page.
So when people login they are directed to the news module.

This I have done very sucessfully and easily by using the Myhome module.

I also want the forum "recent topics" block to show at the top of the News index page, which it does.

But it also shows on each News item page as well

The option exists in blocks admin to choose "top page" in system, but choosing the top page in a module does not exist.
The only option essentially being "all module pages"
A bit of an all or nothing choice

Any chance of getting round this?

Almost all the modules have an index page so surely this could be made an option in blocks control?

As an aside, after playing with 2.2.3 for a couple of weeks, giving myself time to adjust to a new way of doing things, I do like the new system other than I do find the block control admin a lot less user friendly than the old system.

I know what you are saying re the searches and as being one in the past that has had words to say on replying to threads etc I ALLWAYS use the search function before I post BUT,

With respect I did do a search and found this thread !
Along with a number of other results that I followed to no avail.

I'm sorry but if you look at three or four search results that lead to a dead end and then find active unanswered threads with exactly the same issue as yourself then most people, if not all, will hunt no further.

I've just had a group of users post the following in the forum on one of my sites,

why does the last message go to the top of the shoutbox?
if it went at the bottom it would make it far easier to follow the conversation. Then when you logged on and joined in you could just read through top to bottom rather than reading each message then scrolling down each time to find what that was a response to


There were 12 replies to this post in three days [size=xx-small](mind you one of them was to tell the guy to get a life)[/size] so I thought I'd better come and ask.

Is it possible to get the shoutbox to scroll up instead of down?

Have you got the url so we can see the problem or be little nore expansive,

Dlete the install folder and change the mainfile.php to read only.

OK found it,

If you would like more titles to show in the wf-sections index page go to,
html\modules\wfsection\xoops_version.php

line 369,

I ammended it to read,

I now have 10 aticles listed instead of the standard 1 to 7.
