you basically end up changing the mainfile info from linking tohttp://wefriend.net.tf/ to linking to the path that actually links to: your ip address and port number. You should still be able to use the cloaking url. But the mainfile should have the locations changed to your ip and port number, rather than the cloaking url.

Do you understand what I mean?

AH! The music people of XOOPS have agreed. It is a good site. Now we must have Monty take a look.

Looks good but two things:

1) You might want to get rid of the big blank space area at the bottom. Looks like you might have hit the Enter key in dreamweaver a few times by accident and made a bunch of
or
codes.

2) The flash thing on the homepage links to the homepage. Why is that?

I'm actually working on doing a local version of something like this, and I know it's hard to get going and keep it going. Hope yours works out for you.

Is this the login loop problem? If that's the case, I ran in to it the other day. I noticed as your site loaded that your cloaking is covering up the ip address and port number. I was only able to kill the problem by installing over the ip address instead of using my no-ip.com address.

you mean chmod them? I wouldn't expect to have to do that for each file that is uploaded.

The problem is further it seems. Not only are the counts at 0 and not showing any files, even though there are files under the categories, but the blocks that I have turned on are not showing up. They are turned on in the groups section for everyone to view them. The module is viewable but the files aren't for some reason.

I'm going to move it all to my actuall web space and see if that makes a difference. Atleast that way I'll know if it's something screwy on my home server (which I suspect may be the case).

So I wanted to set up an ftp server for the musicians of xmike. My linux box felt the exact opposite. So I decided to give wfdownloads a try and see if it would work. Granted, it has TONS of input boxes that most of my users will never need to use, but it is a great module none the less. So, that was the plan.

Then the monster of my machine attacked.

For some reason, everything works fine when you are logged in. I have it set so anonymous users can access it as well. However, for some reason it doesn't show any available downloads, even though there are several in there. They can upload anonymously, but for some reason it always shows a count of 0. If you click the category, it shows up nothing. If you click a direct link to a download, it will show up the page perfectly. It seems like something funky is going down, and it's not James Brown. Any ideas?

*note my thread in the Lounge area about me being completely new to Linux*

it's trying to make a table that already exists because you reinstalled xoops. it's probably much easier to just dump the data from the database on the other server into the new one, and connect XOOPS to it.

Xoops could be used to make those sites.

I began with PHP Nuke, and when I found out about XOOPS last year, I changed over quick.

Xoops is useful for practically anything, if you have the time to put into it and the modules to use.

Maybe i should give icontent another try. I tried to use it a while back, but for some reason removed it. I think I found tinycontent easier or something. Or I was irradiated by nuclear beams from space. I'm not sure which.
