Such a modul would be really helpful.

I used xhelp for a while, but it seems like development has been stopped. Some of the developers last login was in 2006!

Why don't you use tinyeditor? Right, it's a "fat" editor, but you can define different "Toolsets" for user groups.

Agree. Independent from the number of sites you/i'm running, unfortunately i don't havy my own server - but a good host Switching between PHP4 or 5 is just a click away Making use of one of the PHP versions is only depending on what the website is used for and modules needed.

Again ... we're off topic and i don't want to start a "religious war" about PHP versions in this thread. Also my knowledge of "PHP-inside" is propably not nearly so deep as yours!

This "fassion" of "php 5 only" might be the thing that will make me leave XOOPS ...

Hard words. But i think, upgrading to PHP5 will be inescapable in the feature.

Unlike to smartmail (also requires PHP5 like most smartfactory modules? Not sure yet.) RMSOFT Bulletin is easy to use. Smartmail is - currenttly - not that modul to work "out of the box with zero configuration" - i'm sure you know.

PHP5: I'm running a couple of XOOPS sites, 2.016 and 2.2.4, using PHP4 and PHP5 as well as MySQL4 and MySQL5, depending on modules in use. This is NOT a recommendation to generally use of PHP5 or MySQL5! But we're going to go off topic

Try this one:

RMSOFT Bulletin

Uncomplex, easy to use and working! Good admin interface, plugins for newbb, news und custom content. Customizeable newsletter templates. Supports WYSIWYG editors (you have to use their own "rmcommon" utilities)

Requirements: PHP5; XOOPS 2.0.16 or 2.2.x

Does anybody have a solution to fix the above mentioned problems with IE7?

I'm not sure, if there's another solution in the wild, but i solved it by editing style.css from default theme.

Find
.NavMenu hr{height1px;width90%;border0px none;color#24237f;background-color: #24237f;}
and change it to
.NavMenu hr{height1px;width140px;border0px none;color#24237f;background-color: #24237f;}

Hope this helps other IE7 Users to fix the admin menu problem.

Werner.

I'm also a fan of the lightbox effect and use it to display a huge image of a webcam. As i hope that a lot of people are visiting this website because of watching images from the webcam, i want to place Xoops-Banners below the image.

Unfortunately i'm not a coder, so i'm unable to put the right code into the right place. Could someone give me a little assistance, please?

THX,

Werner.

I recognized to have the same problem with XOOPS 2.0.10.

My (temporary) solution was to take lostpass.php from XOOPS 2.0.9.3 and changed it against the version from XOOPS 2.0.10 and now it works!

I'm not a coder, so i'm not able to find out the failure, but i think, that one of the dev's will!

Werner.

@ackbarr:

i've given up trying to find and correct missconfiguration of iis.

i did a fresh installation on another w2k3 server with iis6, php4.3.9 and MySQL 5.0.0-alpha-nt, and all is running well at this time.

thank you for your assistance, but i will not try further to find the failure which i suppose in my other iis machine.

please do not forget to close my bug report http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/tracker/?func=detail&atid=336&aid=1445&group_id=1058
