How about your webserver config? Is PHP SAFE_MODE activated?
What does the php-debug say?

You can download a patch for this problem at (it's included for next version but CVS isn't running ...):

Check the values for database access in your mainfile.php ...

There must be a mistake inside that file.

This is defined in the tag .foot in your theme-css.

Try changing background color ...
