I've tried changing it but it dosen't seem to do anything. The site site looks the same.

fixed the menu..set the group to annon by mistake.

I've can't find a index.html file...no index at all, only a theme.html.

How do I get my new to appear on my home page? at the moment it just has the title of the article but I want the first or whole article showing.

ok, I have the themes and templetes back to default but now I can't use the other themes...
