Re: New Site Needs Freedback

Nice site. To try to get your Istats working insert the following code into your theme.html footer just before /body.

<{insert name='showstat'}>
<
br>
<
table width="100%" cellspacing="0">
        <
tr id="footerbar">
          <
td><{if $xoops_isadmin != 1}>
<
script type="text/Javascript">
  <!--

istat = new Image(1,1);

istat.src "http://dj-mix.co.uk/home/modules/istats/include/counter.php?sw="+screen.width+"&sc="+screen.colorDepth+"&referer="+escape(document.referrer)+"&page="+location.href;

//-->
</script>
<{/if}>
          </
td>
        </
tr>
          </
table>

Make sure no cache is in the Istats module too.

Your top Nav bar, links I get a blank page, forum I get does not exist, and downloads I get a blank page. If these are not installed either install or change the Navigation to something that is there. PHP debug will help you in determining problems with blank pages.

Other than that the site looks great. Good luck.

thanks for the code, just put it in the theme.html file.

I have tried changing the code but the site stays the same...am I doing something wrong?

OK, I see what it is with the top Nav bar now.

The top nav for "Links" points to "mylinks" and you are using "weblinks", that needs to be changed.

The top nav for downloads points to "mydownloads" and you use "wmpdownloads" that needs to be changed.

And no forum is installed.

If you made changes to theme.html clear your template_c folder to show the changes.

Yes. It will regenerate the next time the page loads with the new information.

You can also do it through the Admin control panel.

See this tutorial: Theme Install Tutorial It shows the section in general settings that you can set to clear the cache so changes to themes show.

From the preferences, is it 'Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?' I need to change to 'yes'? or do I leave this and delete them manually?

You can do either. If you change the settings in the general settings make sure to change it back when you finish your theme adjustments. It is a security risk to leave it to yes.
