Hisoka,

this is logical approach, but admin must know what he's doing :( Maybe better trick is to log in as a user whos avatar you're trying to change, and do it throught XOOPS interface. This would be much easier method for me. Problem is that I can't login as another user, without changing users pass, and I don't wanna do this!

The best solution is that in next incarnation of xoops, there should be ability to change user avatar as admin, in user edit mode!

Thanks for idea, this solves the problem, for admins that are not lazy as me :) :) :)

RolyMo,

I used phpbb earlier, hence my user are so spoiled :(

I made a strong decision NOT to move back to phpbb nor to experiment with soop portal etc. I want to use just XOOPS and newbb, but I want them to have full functionality. Lack of possibility to assign avatr to user, or to cut tread in forum are just TOO MUCH. But I've learned to live with them :)

I've been asking for phpbb2newbb converter for months, and when I stoped and did manual conversion, the converter arrived :)

I'll just wait for solution & won't move my finger about it :(

My English is not good enought :)

I do know everything you wrote me, but I don't know how to upload avatar for user. My question was, how can Admin upload avatar and assign it to a user, without login as that user?

Sorry for not being exact.

I have couple of members on my XOOPS site, who have asked me to create them an avatar. Reason, they don't know how to do it, they don't know how to make animated gif etc etc etc, so I did it for them, but now they are too lazy to upload it, so I have to do it instead of them. Since I'm not very experienced with xoops, I can't find the way to do this, because when I edit member profile, I can't add or change members avatar.

Thanks, but I don't know if I use default or some template from themes I've installed. Secondly I don't know how to regenerate template :(

Sorry, but my kwnoledge about templates is very small :)

Last thing that readme tells me to do is:
