Wow!!, why would you defend your credits so harshly on such vanilla designs?

That same look has got to be on a million websites out there!

I mean , their both really, REALLY plain and based on very over used looks with common boxes and a common layout that isn't even in the farthest of since, close to being remotely "your own"...

Threatening legal action on either of those layouts is a hairs breath from me color coding a simple 3 table layout red and white and aggressivly enforcing my copyright on 3 table red and white themes as a derivative of MY work.

I checked out Zarron.com and work looks worthy of full credit and $$ for the products offered. Your good! - Which really makes me wonder why you would care in the least about these 2 "couldn't be more average" themes! ??

- You should have just said something to the extent of "Hey, I'm sure that these 2 are based on my work and I'm flattered that you've been working with them!

I'm certain that she would have added you appropriately to the credits (probably on auto-pilot), and the link and association with your "REAL WORK" would have been in strong order with Xoops!

No one likes anyone that acts as if they have a lawyer on retainer and a gun in their pocket.

If either of those layouts had a dime between them in copyright value, it was cashed out upon your first phrase...

You should really give this girl one of your better PHPBB themes with a license to remove your client visible copyright and a - "just as firm and manly"- apology, for realizing that your approach was so inappropriate in context.

At any rate, you may want to re-think the flexibility that you allow yourself in some situations, loose the lawyer and hire a third party for your public relation efforts.

- It's good advice.

phpaga

Has anyone ever thought of giving this a port to xoops?

This software looks great but it's pretty obviously a huge pain to set up.

I'm sure that it would be the cats meow for allot of XOOPS webmasters though!

What you see on my gaming site is a javascript hack that works kinda like the backend.php (headlines) to pull sites outta the db and pop them in a cute sidebox....

----------------------------------------------------------
Sounds like a very cool JavaScript, can you share the snippit or is it a big fancy secrete? ;)

Solution...

- I had put a my own favicon.ico on the root and it didn't like it.

When I closed the browser it cleaned the cash and called the new and incompatible favicon.ico and drew a blank!

My site was working great until I closed my browser (MSIE2)

Earlier in the evening, I brought the site up in standard IE (Not MSIE2, the browser I ussually use.) and the page was a blank, but worked fine in MSIE2 so I just thought that it was a hickup or a problem with IE.

Now I've got nothing with MSIE2 as well.

When I pulled it back up, I get nothing.
Viewing the source returns this..

------------------------------------------
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
</HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
-------------------------------------------
I dumped the XOOPS tables and re-populated them with a backup. - No luck..

Didn't work list...
- Deleted .htaccess file
- Older back up version of my theme.html
- Re-populated tables with a back up
- Changed a base theme to the same name as my custom theme
- Tried to access any sub-components of the site
- Repopulated the template_c folder contents with a back up
- Deleting the contents of the template_c folder

Worked list...
- uploading a standard HTML index file and changing the name of the index.php file. (The html page showed up fine)

I'm all out of ideas..
What could this be??

Thanks for any thoughts!

installing 2 copies of the same mod

What's the plan for installing the same mod twice on on the same site?

Change all of the table names, or is it easier than that?

- I really like the way that a couple of mods work with the auto-sub menu block offered by the Blockies mod, but some of the links generated by Blockies arn't relivant in the blockies sub menue, they just show up because they wer'e generated by the same article management mod..

So, I'd like to just drop another copy of the same article management mod on the server and organize this content this way.

What's the best way?

I backed it up earlier just this evening, but when I opened it I found no refferance to "xoops__common_tables".

- I looked in the module MySQL and no-ah ahh, no xoops__common_tables.

If I could find where this table came from, I could just drop it back in, but where ohh where..

I had a rouge mod that did no install for me and I deleted the wrong table by accident! - Aaaugggg!!

xoops__common_tables

- Where can I find this MySQL code and how can I get it back?

I tried to update the system mod but that didn't work.

- With the php debug on, it say's a whole lot of this:
---------------------------------------------------------
Notice [PHP]: Undefined variable: myCommonTables in file class/database/database.php line 121
Notice [PHP]: Undefined variable: myCommonTables in file class/database/database.php line 122
Notice [PHP]: Undefined variable: myCommonTables in file class/database/database.php line 123 ...on and on...

Thanks for any help!
