Does such a thing exist?

All I can do at the moment is "Find Users" and ask it to order the users by "last login".

It would be good to know how often and when they logged in.

Thanks.

The "bug" is - apparently - caused by an ancient XOOPS error which has become more obvious with new improvements in the code.

If you notice, my download link is from the 2.0.16 release - which is a "development" update of 2.0.15 (no real changes yet from what I understand, but this is fixed in it )

Thank you. I will download it at the weekend, now I know it's "official"! By the way, what problem did the bug cause?

Sorry for being so cautious but

- what is the bug (or the consequences of the bug) which this fixes. (I would like to know this as XOOPS 2.0.15 seems to work OK for me except for this)

- is it definitely recommended to install the bugfix mentioned in this thread?

Thanks.

Perhaps as they want to ensure it works in all cases... also I don't believe I've seen this possible fix submitted in Sourceforge by the author?

I would like to be able to manage users' notification options.

e.g. set everyone to receive notifications for event X

e.g. set set all users in group X to receive notification for event Y

This shouldn't be difficult - for those in the know!

Thanks!

To the fellow who had the problem with 2.0.15 - I've (touch wood) had no problems, but I did change the redirects on user.php so that if users clicked a link to the site, but a members-only area, they went straight to their intended link after logging in (rather than to back(-1)).

To the fellow with the cheese site - I agree with the other chap, it must be something on your home page (index.php) as all the other scripts work OK. That's why it's hanging after log in when the page prior to log in was the home page. Also, it's probably something that's only visible to registered users (as the home page works fine before log in). Disable any registered-user-only blocks on the home page as a first step before doing anything complicated

Hope that helps.

I am willing to bet that this is a fresh install of 2.0.15.

If I am correct on this I gotta tell ya the easiest way to get around this is to uninstall 2.0.15 install 2.0.14 and upgrade to 2.0.15.

Sounds like a pain I know, but for some reason the full installs for 2.0.15 are just buggy for some of us.

I experienced the same problems when I did a full 2.0.15 install, but like i said upgrading will fix the issue.

Hi, could you give a list of problems with 2.0.15?

Thanks

I'm using 2.0.15 now so don't have this problem any more. But I notice that now in main preferences - edit user, at the bottom, there is:

<code>
User Posts

Comments 20

Push the button below to synchronize data if you think the above user posts info does not seem to indicate the actual status
</code>

Forum posts and smartsection articles all count towards this total.

Perhaps you could look at the 'syncronization' code and try to amend it for 2.2.3? This would fix at least part of the problem.

To encourage people to log in to the website, I would quite like there to be a block on the front page to say something along the lines of:

"Log in to view the members' forum: there have been X posts within the last [week]"

Has anyone done this already (no point re-inventing the wheel)? If not, what would be the best way to go about it?

Thanks very much as ever.

Could you summarise this briefly, or give a useful link?

I assume any problems relate solely to access to the XOOPS (and the registered users' content) rather than anything to do with the server?

Thanks.
