Two questions, Herko:
- why xhtml 1.0 and NOT xhtml 1.1?
- you want us to make a theme, this is fine. But for which version? I mean, here you use 2.0.x, the latest version is 2.2.x .. AND skalpa is working on another new version. Since there are small (maybe not that small) changes from a 2.0.x theme to a 2.2.x theme it could be helpful if you give us some more techies hints.

I've got some thoughts about the database structure, after 2.2.x come on the way.
Particularly I got thoughts looking at the user table..
Do have `user_avatar`, `rank`, `level` really to be in this table? Maybe (or maybe not) you can add `uname` and `name` to that list.

I mean.. I love the new XOOPS profile fields in particullary for leaving away from my user table the unneeded informations.
So basically:
One can use the same LOGIN name but have differents profile field on various websites.
One can easily hack a pair of core class to take login information from different tables instead of xoopsDB->prefix('user').
One can make it's own profile fields module.

So, my complain is: why you didn't do this completely?

Holy crap, I was making a little module for the image section in system to set permissions like News or AMS ..
But for security reason (and I don't understand which security reason.. if a module dev. wanna hack your website using groupperm.php s/he can easily make a copy without if ($modid <= 1 || !is_object($xoopsUser) || !$xoopsUser->isAdmin($modid)) {
) I cannot modify system relate stuff (image categories are system relate stuff, for any reason) with /modules/system/admin/groupperm.php ..

Ideas?

I think that a feature request to Mith or to someone else in the XOOPS Core Team can make this standard for next releases (probably 2.2.4, as it is not a major improvement).

Probably altern8news & News modules conflict.
If I remember right altern8news use the same database tables of news.. you can try with 'stories' module

Hey, i think that with a very little hacking you can add XOOPS comments - like as to others modules - to the user profiles, in 2.2.x (I don't have the time for seriously look at it now).

Take a look at the dev wiki for more hints.
