it depends on where you want it to be changed. There are basically three files that defind the "title" tag. /mylinks/index.php and /mylinks/viewcat.php and /mylinks/singlelink.php

If you can provide more detail on what you want to output I can tell you exactly what you need to do.

That is correct Shine, the email goes to the intended business in the directory. The version currently running on my site is slightly different than the one currently in distribution. That's because I'm still adding features and working out the bugs.

I will post new version updates in this forum.

I think what ksatpro is looking for is a system that can find zip codes in the general vacinity of the one entered by the user. That would require some knowledge of the logic behind zip code distribution and then you would have to create a system to recognize zip codes and thier neighbors. xDirectory doesn't have that capability as of yet.

I would be interested in finding that solution as well.

I'm actually experimenting with quite a few new features. alpha-listings, coupons, new version of sponsored listings, mall directories, paypal subscriptions, etc.

I'm not sure how many of these features are going to work for the community so I'm trying to create them as options in the admin section which is the hardest part for me.

I'm hoping that my request for public development on the XOOPS sourceforge site will get approved so I can make it available to the community.

I will incorporate the new "register globals off" issue mentioned by Marius in the next release for sure.

Thank you for your support.

I just created a new instance of xdirectory and created a few copies of the index page, renamed them to reflect the appropriate area and adjusted the sql statement to pull only listing within a certain category.

The featured listing are actually the latest listings. I modified the sql statement to pull only the latest listings with a premium id of '_your_variable_'

That's all. Nothing too fancy.

Can anyone shed some light on how I would go about displaying HTML in my module? I'm pulling information stored in the DB and would like to display it.

Example:
text in the database is: <a href="www.xoops.org">Link to XOOPS site</a>

I would like it to display like this:
Link to XOOPS site

I had a few people offer to do this but I've yet to see something come to fruition.

I would like to extend the offer to anyone who would like to translate xdirectory to spanish or any other language for that matter. I'll give them credit by including their name and e-mail address in our changes.html file. Plus they will be helping the many users currently working with this module.

Currently we have a dutch version created by Pallieter Koopmans but I'd like to see many more.

That would certainly be easier than the solution I proposed and I do prefer and easy solution to a difficult one.

I'm actually working on that right now. I've been learning all the ins and out of the PayPal Business account from their website. I'm still working out the process of how it will work when someone submits a listing request.

But I think what I'll do is provide a landing page after someone submits their listing that has the appropriate amount and link to the paypal website. From there they can decide whether to pay for the whole year or get billed monthly.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to pass some variables to the paypal site so when they are finished paying for their listing it will redirect them to a page on our site where it will change their status from 0 to 1 which basically activates their account.

But right now I'm still at the drawing board. :)

I'll let you know if I make any progress
