Re: How to use XOOPS Authentication for external components?

I don't think your question is very clear. Perhaps that is a bug?

I checked access was limited to a folder by copying the url. I then logged out and tried to access the url directly. It denied access.

"You don't have the right to access this forum.
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here"

So the authorization seems to work. But then I am not using your software.

Perhaps you should ask the module authors.

How to 'upload' to submit a download?

Okay, I must be missing a basic concept.

To submit something to the downloads module it has to be on the internet already?

Is there a simple way to upload a file first?

Re: List your Bug / Fix after upgrade to Xoops 2.0.17

My biggest problem was my fat fingers trying to do the upgrade. It seems to be working now.

Sent mail log/ review

After I send an email, I get a page showing a list of everyone who the email has been sent to.

After I leave that page, is there are way to review the emails that have been sent?

Can I see the text of the email message somewhere?

Can I see the list of who it was sent to?

Re: NewBB Attatchment posting problem

Nevermind.

The INDEX page on the NewBB forum shows me the path name that needed to be writeable for both attachments and for images.

I knew I had set it once before.

Thanks for your help. I never would have figured it out without y'all.

NewBB Attatchment posting problem

I have a problem with being able to post attachments to my NewBB forum. This feature still works on my other forum.

I used to be able to post attachment to this forum. To ensure it was not a permission problem, I tried to reload an attachment that was previously successfully uploaded.

I suspect the problem may have occurred since I transfered over to a new host. Is there a file that needs to be writable to be able to upload the attachments to?

multiMenu target

The target option does not seem to be working on my multiMenu.

I set the target to 'blank', but it opens the file up in the existing window instead of in a new window.

Any ideas?

Re: cannot add links with multiMenu

Robots.txt is a very important file. It tells the good robots how to behave on your site.

Google, Yahoo, etc. use robots to crawl the web to index the information so that people can find it.

By setting your robots.txt file, you can tell those robots what to look at and index so they don't waste your bandwidth.
