Very Nice. I really liked your creation.

What News module are you using? (do you mind sharing a download link for the original and your custom module)?

if possible try to install all your module on a test/Devlelopment box on xoops 2.5.1a. this will give you an opportunity that if there are any kind of compatibility issue.

All the best.

Thanks for your reply Rodney.

Hope you will publish your module for testing which will help others to understand the standards you are going to introduce.

Good Luck.

Did you download and test the Basic Module Pack? That's exactly what it does - provides common icons/images by using the ModuleAdmin class.

Yes, Mamba I did installed the basic module pack and its a good start but i am not sure how to use this to develop a module.

I am trying to write my first xoops module by following the help documentation by "kaotik module tutorials, tips and tricks". I know it bit of out of date and does not talk about CSS, group permission etc. So I am trying to understand TDMDownload code to write my own module.

Do you know any other more upto date document that I can refer to?

Thanks in advance.

Deepak

Very interesting concept to read.

I was wondering if there are any paln to standardise and the images and make a single look and feel (icons like home, navigation, print etc). at present each module have their own icons.

I wish you all the best for your studies.

i would suggest take a backup of the module (just in case). this will save you time if you need to debug.

Also check the location of user uploaded files.

Thanks for this initiative Mamba,

I will test this pack over the weekend.

I think we should add few widely used modules on the pack (either in the main pack or create a separate packs as "optional Bolt on" with

Site map
Tag cloud
TDMDownload
Module for Product desplay (as slide show)

Especially for intranet/company pack, it will be worth to add the following:

Meeting room booking system (MRBS)
Ticket System Module (OSTicket)

hope this helps

Deepak
