Back to my original problem with "Birthday" module... You Asked Which PHP am using and I replied:

"Minimum PHP required: 5.2 (my version is 5.2.17)
MYSQL minimum version required: 5.0.7 (my version is 5.0.92-community)
Minimum XOOPS required: 2.5 (my version of Xoops is 2.5.4)
Minimum ModuleAdmin required: 1.1 (my version is 1.1)

The previous version of Birthday worked fine until this latest upgrade to Xoops 2.54
and it has worked well on the other 40 web sites I have up and running. In fact it everything seem to work fine with Xoops 2.51, and in 2.53 see links

http://providenceparents.com/modules/ ... ay/user.php?birthday_id=2
http://providenceparents.com/modules/ ... ay/user.php?birthday_id=1
"
What's the difference between 2.51, 2.53 and 2.54 where now Birthday does not work properly nor do the updates you did to updated Birthday?

In xoops 2.54 I downloaded from here has protector version 3.51, so now I am a little confused.
Is protector 3.51 a beta? it works beautifully

look at the modules included in xoops 2.54; profile 1.62, private messaging 1.07, system 2.1 and protector 3.51, so is xoops 2.54 a beta?

Thanks

Can I use Protector 3.51 with Xoops 2.51 or 2.53? The other thing is excal had problem with Xoops 2.54 had to quit using and start using Apcal which is great.

xoops 2.54 seems to conflict with a few modules, having a CMS is nice but if the apps / modules don't work then its not worth having. Why upgrade to 2.54? I do like Protector 3.51 seems to work great........

Thanks for your time, you know "Birthday" module should be integrated in "Profile" module as a way to celebrate members (users) yearly birthdays or anniversary. I like it cause I am creating resources for parents in local markets and it can be a encourage member usage.

I hope someone will be able to upgrade the "Birthday" module

Unable to Edit Birthdays in Admin, they do not show up.
Maintain tables = blank screen
unable to upload photo says to large = zero bytes

Thanks however I am not a commercial enterprise per se I am creating a place where parents can share information and support one another in a safe local community environment away from all the scammers. A place where parents can connect with other community members.

I do use google ad sense however I only make a few cents a day if anything at all if a user clicks on any of there Ads. Maybe someday this will pay for its self.

How does profile 1.68 validate users?

I see that CBB traps a users IP address

I already heavily modified profile 1.6 for my particular use to ask for; first name, middle initial, last name, occupation and zip code.

thanks for the info I can probably make nominal donation toward the work.

I will play with this once I finish Kansas City And Long Beach.
Before I build Omaha Parents .Com and Tulsa Parents .Com

I like Xoops its easy to use and modify, I have modified virtually all 22 module, tailored them for my particular use including xoops 2.51a. This allow in me to build a complete web site in a couple of hours and get listed on the top page of Google searches.

Again Thanks for the info.

Bravo Mr. Wishcraft and thank you for your prompt attention to my dilemma.

Where do I insert the code in the profile 1.6 module?

What gave me the idea is; I had a user (member) register in three different cities. At first I created a field in the registration form which requires a member's postal code (zip code) as a way of controlling regional membership. I am creating local Parenting Social Networks across the America which focus on local community. We have built 40+ so far and hope to 100 built by years end.

Collecting the user's IP will allow me to compare it to there Postal Code upon registration and whether to allow their membership.

thanks Palo

How can I add a way to capture a users ip address when the user registers?

I want to add it to profile when a new member registers the module captures his ip address and when the member logs in ip address is captured each time user logs in

Thanks
Palo
