I ran debug and for the first time i got theis error after i clicked submit:


Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/swstuden/public_html/Frameworks/art/object.php on line 133

This was instead of the blank page which i usually refresh to get the time out error.

The only 'errors'
That the debugging caught were:

Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in file /Frameworks/art/object.php line 218

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /modules/smartsection/xoops_version.php line 590

ugh. this is so much hassle. I havent even changed anything from yesterday, yet today the entire website is going down the shoot.

I've played about with the session timings in admin - nothing.

I've checked/repaired the sessions table with phpmyadmin - nothing.

I cant remember doing anything to it, i think i logged on yesterday and it was working fine.

It's working now but everytime i go to post a topic i click submit the screen goes blank, i resubmit and then i get this error in a pinkish box:

Invalid submission. You could have exceeded session time. Please re-submit or make a backup of your post and login to resubmit if necessary.

Aah, i dont think i know enough to be messing with templates.

I've tryed the br and p html tags, they create the paragraph in the actuall article but for some reason it just shows up as a block of text in the 'recent news' block.

urm, the block is centred, its in the middle, if that is what you mean.

I want something to put up admin news on the front page.

I am using the news module and have hidden it from the users and publish news and use the 'recent news' block on the front page it all works beautifully.

Except for the block to show the entire message i need to enable teaser which i do to the right character length but it squishes the message together with no spaces between sentences.
It looks gramatically horrible.

Help?

Also, can i set the 'receive occasional email' radio button on the registration screen to default yes instead of no?

Can i edit the email that is sent out with the activation link? I want to add a few details about the working of the site.

Or possibly in the email that is sent after the account is activated.

Also is there a way to send out batch email to users?

oh, you want EVERY module that i'm installing?

(and version)

I thought just the istats one.


I'll write up the list, its 24 modules long, im not sure anyone would bother with it.
