looked at the list when it had 13 members .. Herko was not listed at that time. After that time I spoke with Mamba, and he pointed out to me in email that the list had increased... Later I went to the list and it was 22 And Herko was listed as a project manager. I specifically noted that.

13 members? then 22?

there's only 16 now, there has never been 22 as far as i'm aware.. not in the impresscms project anyway, there may be/have been in the xmtd project group which was used initially under the name XOOPS reboot (not impresscms)

herko was never admin.

and i am not admin in the project either. i was and still am admin in the xmtd group though, but that is now defunct as we are using impresscms project.

please get your facts in order.

as for marcan, herko and david resigning?

why?

it is not against any rule whatsoever for those people to want to help & support another project. the foundation is not supporting it with funding.

thew foundation is there to support xoops, but either way, as you so elequantly put it the other day along with BS, the Foundation does not exist in XOOPS anymore, that was your statement not mine or the foundations.

xoopsinfo is still supporting XOOPS, and it will also be supporting impressCMS. and there is absolutely nothing wrong with supporting both.

herko was made a developer yes, but he sent notice that he didn't want to join the project as a dev or anything, he is only giving advice, herko is leaving XOOPS and moving on, and he is not moving on with impress, so no he will not be involved with the project after he quits, that is why he was removed from the dev group, by his choosing.

nice to see you keeping tabs BS. but without the relevant info and discussions, you have completely jumped to the wrong conclusion again.

but like i said, herko has never had admin to the Project, yes he was a dev listed there, but that is all, he was never admin, and he was never removed and added again, he was removed once and still is removed. so i am not calling you a liar, i am calling you mistaken.

actually, no money has been spent on impressCMS by the Foundation. not 1 single penny.

the server fees were paid in advance when the new servers were originally purchased for the XOOPS community. It is true that XI is hosted on that server. But being as DJ refused to accept it and purchased his own server to use etc. it is not our fault that the server has not been used for xoops.org itself.

as for being developed behind closed doors.

impress is open development. see the SF project site. anybody can join and is free to do so.

Quote:

I keep seeing people like herko and davidl2 added to the project admin on sourceforge. Then it disappears? Now Dave L have been removed here on the XOOPS project and is now on the impresscms for the second time.

u are mistaken, herko & david have never had admin access to SF and been removed and then added again. neither has Dave_L, yes he was project admin there, but dj removed that and placed christian as project manager instead, Dave has always been a member of sf group, he hasn't quit and come back again, his name has always been in the group. so you are mistaken.

but i'll say again, no funds have been used or donated to the project from the Foundation.

you are ill-informed yet again probably from listening to BS's ill-informed opinion again.

foundation servers are dedicated servers BS. 1 server for the sites and a totally seperate dedicated server just for the MySQL database.

they are not shared servers. again you are misinformed and painting a picture that is only half correct.

BS you should keep your BS opinions to yourself unless you know what you are talking about. especially when you are misleading people with incorrect information.

Quote:

I am strongly of the opinion, that all this outage is due to two lines of code placed in Giba's file by someone with access to XOOPS server and SourceForge. (without Giba's knowledge)

what has giba's file in sourceforge got to do with xoops.org outage? absolutely nothing. for 1 those files in gibas distribution only affected gibas distribution, they were not located on xoops.org servers or XOOPS project SF servers. so the outages of xoops.org were not related.

Quote:

Having identified the files, the code and the method of access, I believe it is prudent to let DJ put the xoops.org on a server where if and when it goes down again in this matter, we know exactly where to expect the recovery to be handled.

prudent? yes we all know what prudence is..

and yes lol put xoops.org on a server where we know exactly where to expect recovery.. yup the foundation servers are managed full time by surpass hosting.. coincidentally DJ's private/personal server which is where xoops.org now is is also at surpass hosting.. so the support & recovery would be done by exactly the same people at surpass hosting. so NO it was not necessary to not use the foundation servers, except for the fact that DJ wants the foundation gone, and he wanted 150% control. again your opinion was ill informed and incomplete.

Quote:

am very resentful to the fact that XI was started by the person that publically stated he could take down a server with two lines of php code programing. I never doubted this fact and someone with that knowledge should have protected the backups. Instead there were none.

really why mention that in the same post when you also mention about 2 lines of code in gibas distribution. it does seem to an onlooker that you are insinuating that the two are tied somehow. google could give you those 2 lines of code.. lol the backups were done when he was in charge.. lol but they wasn't done since he quit. so those backups you refer to are not his responsibility. at least give the full account when you are voivcing your opinions.

Quote:

Advertising is gone, and the foundation that hasn't existed to help the project anyway in the year I have been here is gone. Ono made that decision. It there is to be a foundation it will have to be newly created, along with what ever else the DPT has in mind.

the foundation is still here deary.. ono made that decision? really? please give proof of that.. it was not ono's decision to make.. ono only owns the domain name, not the project. again you are probably misunderstanding.

ono passed the rights to use the domain name over to DJ. but only DJ will have made the decision to try and remove the foundation.. if you don't know exactly, then don't make statements that can be taken as gospel.

that's a pretty bold statement about the foundation being newly created again..

yet again DJ has gone against the wishes of the proposal committee, he is repetitive in his insistence to do everything that he wants when he wants.

if he won't listen to the proposal committee now, why the hell will he listen to the committee when/if they ask him to reverse all the changes he has made so far? the answer is he will not, the committee is another waste of everyones time.

turn on MySQL debug in preferences and see if there's any errors in the query when submitting & viewing.

nice site, i can't read arabic though..

1 slight issue.

your theme is dynamic which stretches to the width of the screen. not a problem but your header with the logo on etc is fixed width and doesn't stretch which makes the main page content stick out like a sore thumb.

vista is just a pretty box with awful inners.

it's supposed to be faster than XP? i'd like to knopw how they came to that conclusion.

i find it very slow, and even copying/moving files from 1 folder/drive to another is a longsome task compared to just click & drag with XP.

and my hardware is more than capable of running the ultimate edition with Aero etc.

i'm not 1 for pretty boxes, i prefer quality & simplicity.

with XP, usually everything you need is either 1 or 2 clicks of the mouse away..

the only advantage i can see of Vista over XP is DirectX 10

i could seriously swear at MS for not making directX 10 for use with XP. at moment i don't require dx10 but there'll come a time nxt year whyen the games may require it.
