dont think there is a convertor for vbulletin to XOOPS users
however a possible option is to convert vbulletin to normal invision and then use a convertor from invision to the invision XOOPS module
more info on the ipb module can be found here
http://www.bbpixel.com/modules/news/

as this module changes the core files there are some issues, however imo the benefits far out weigh the disadvantages

bit of a repost but thought worth giving it another go

have managed to do a quick and dirty hack of the wordpress module so that it uses smarty templates and thus can use XOOPS comments etc
while it works at moment for own use, as not a coder and most of the coding was done by trial and error was wondering if anyone interested in having a look and improving

have spoke to the module dev, but seems that he doesnt want to go down the smarty path

yep
great news
while understand the argument for non-core mods - the benefits the ipb module brings to XOOPS out weigh the disadvantages imo

surely such what could be considered important info deserves a better place than hidden away in a "vast" amount of forum posts.

While can understand the "try search" reply for the more basic questions, perhaps it could be taken as a indicator that the presentation of XOOPS development information could be improved.

Obvious benefits would be, dev staff time dealing with repeated q's would be saved, along with users time looking for info as well

am almost sure that when looking at an earlier Agendax it was based on a standalone php calendar application
but last time looked couldnt find any credits , so may be wrong ?

i've hacked this module to use smarty
its all a bit quick and dirty and specfic to own needs
and currently work in progress
but with addition of comments etc - feel that this could be the long searched for "content" module imo

yep am a user of the coppermine module, but started playing around with the latest version

As using the "invision" module, found that by a bit of hacking with the "invision coppermine bridge" it is fairly easy to incorporate the latest release into xoops
but as it is in a non-smarty format the inclusion of xoopscomments is a stumbling block

theory being if there was a way to integrate the comments non-smarty wise it make intergration and updating of many other third party software just that bit easier

Thanks for quick answer
Can understand ins and outs, and take it that the option of "read only" has also been considered
Just a bit frustrating when see a interesting subject heading
thanks again

last shout
shame if not as it does make the full intergration of other standalone software like latest coppermine just that bit harder
