the file was not in the directory so i upload it and went to generate it and i receive an error message that selected file does not exist

Thanks for your replies .i have tried all but nothing seems working
I went to System Admin - Templates, click on list by System and none of the templates could was to be regenerated . I did notice the following file name
system_block_dummy.html
"Dummy template for custom blocks or blocks without templates"
And I clicked view and it is empty. Is there code that should be in this?

i have not been able to get the problem solved so my customs blocks still show empty even though i have content in them. no one to help?

For your code are you using <a href> or [URL= type links. Have you tried changing the display mode when editing the block. Have you tried HTML and the auto format modes?
Check your templates to make sure system_dummy.html is included and generated.
