seems to me that you have already spent money to develop this script.
do what brash did with ams 2.41; delay final release and ask for a $10 donation for those who want to get the script prior to release date. my advise is to use some discretion here so you can recoup your costs.
while i do not necessarily agree with this method, i am willing to donate $10 as it is not a clone of an existing XOOPS module or script.

i use dreamweaver and fireworks to the best of my abilities (learn something new every day). and, they work fine for me.
