We have a global notification system in XOOPS 2 now, why not using this one to notify about new PMs as well ?? I think there's a big lack !...

It seems that with the new notification stuff in XOOPS 2 that would be a pretty easy hack, maybe I'll try, and maybe somebody else should too....

NewBB doesn't appear to support group-permission for it's private forums. Instead, you have to add each user to each private forum. While I'm sure most folks don't need this, its a feature I'm not sure I want to live without. I imagine I'll just hack the mod.

There are hacks available to do this, written by a user called regen_r8. I think the hack might be found in the downloads section... if not, a search of the forums should turn up some links where to find it (search for 'private forum hack' or 'private forum hacks').

BUT

As I read all these post about IBF, I know I'm going to have to go fiddle with it now...

Re: WebSlave Project - a project managment tool

I downloaded the files, uploaded them to the server, updated the module in preferences and fired it up.

Now, the link for "Add Task" is dead and from the "Active Projects" page, there are no links to the individual projects.

From the main module page, the tasks are listed and the links to the individual projects are there, but when I click on it (eg. with the URL modules/wsproject/index.php?op=showproject&project_id=2)

I get to the "Active Projects" page.

The translation is ok... but I have a bug with the admin part.
The admin form shows the different groups (xoops groups) but when I select webmaster (for example) and I try to validate the form a blank page occurs....

for the main file in french it's ok ... same location

- made some little improvements

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webslave/wsproject-beta-v.0.7.0.src.zip?download

Hope it's not to buggy.
Would by nice if anyone could update the frensh and spain translation.

Have fun

Wow it looks excellent cant wait for a release.

Ok here are a couple of ideas, which you may or may not like:

+ E-commerce option - Use paypal or nochex, customers can pay to become a sponsored link for the whole business section or just their own and costs per section can be change cia admin per section, allow admins to charge for extra info, eg, they get address free, but if they pay X per year they get a photo, contact telephone number, fax, web address, etc and again on diff tariffs.
+ User Fields - Allow admin to change fields like state to what ever they wish from the admin, which would be useful for diff countries.
+ Additional Fields - Allow admin to add additional fields, which can be required or used for E-commerce option.

There are a couple of other things, but I'll leave these with you.

Excellent work, can't wait to see a release.

Right now, I have it set up to hide the website address and e-mail if there is no information in the DB but it will show up when one is added. I just don't have any of that information in the DB at the moment.

I want to keep the web links because it's a useful service to show a list of business with websites only. Plus it makes for another revenue opportunity.
I've also made SOME changes(I still have more to make) to MyLinks module to only show businesses with URL's since they share the same DB. It's not fully working yet but i'll post when it's all ready to view.
