Very interesting...

I will think about this some more.

I did a review site for video games awhile back, so i have some experience with doing a reviews module.

It wasnt for XOOPS tho :(

I agree XOOPS needs a good reviews module.

Cheers,

Im not sure, but i think you may need to also copy the blocks .php file and rename it. and also reflect this change in yout new block entry. Then you can edit the code that drives the block to only show 1 forum as suggested, without losing the original blocks functionality.

Then just clone it again this way for Forum B (copying the block.php and adding in the new xoops_version.php block info as suggested previously.)

Cheers,

It is possible, but not by default.

you would have to edit some core code to handle this. Even then, i think its messy.

It is not recommended, since its hard to upgrade to new XOOPS if you edit core files in this way.

Very nice for people using WHM.

This seems like a very handy tool.

Good work!

You need to edit the templates undet the templates directory for this module to move that.

You can cut it from the title and past it into the footer like you mentioned.

It would be a smarty tag with <{ }> surrounding it

after creating a block, its automatically set for admins and reg only to view.

Did you go into Admin|Groups|Anonymous and checkamrk the block you wanted anons to see?

thats the way to do it.

Hope that helps,

Um actually, those are not the same issues.
Unless your host has Register Globals set to OFF.

if you msg me, I can help you get a roster working for your site. I'd be glad to help, no strings attached.

Sounds like your working on a music related site. very cool!

Yeah, thats what i thought...

Your last long post introduced so much more BS.
Im not even gunna quote any of it.

Im done. (I wonder what Arowanas last words will be. select them well.)

Im just sorry I got tangled up with Arowana. its been a real headache.

He has some good ideas. after that, his publicity methods need some major work.

I dont agree with 90% of what you say.

You never owned any code. I can release any GPL code I wish, that I wrote. You only paid for the time to get the module working for your site.

Bugs? theres always bugs in code. its part of the developemnt process to releases a beta and get these fixed.. You never followed this process.

The person who posted a link to my forum was just trying to help. Dont pin this on them. You are the one who is pointing at me any chance you get, with your ill will.

Since you want to be the sole controller of xRoster, then go for it. I cannot provide support to code that you screwed up.

Only thing I can do is release a better module, not requiring donations, free download.

Let the games begin.

---------

So what about the issue of removing the orginal author from the Credits? any response to that? or are you taking the 5th?

Or how about that you signed up as OneJadedGirl, preteneded your were a girl, and started posting malicious messages in the public forum against me?

Some of your posts were so mailicious, they had to be removed by the admins.

Well, the main menu is built by the XOOPS modules installed. Since you need to get an external to XOOPS application linked in, your best bet is creating a block to go right above or below the main module and you can link to anything you want.

There are other ways to do it, but this is the way I would recommend.

You can also use MultiMenu or other menu addon, These usally allow you to add other things in even if they are not a XOOPS module.

Hope that helps,
