a dreamweaver extension that allows you to create templates in a wysiwyg (design)mode. This is, you can create the layout you want and insert the elements of mambo that you need.

Do you have to have dreamweaver to use the extension?

I DL the Mambo, and everything looks good. I'm not sure it is any improvement over Xoops. I do think there are better ways to do things..however.

I haven't really been able to ferret it any viable strong points over Xoops. I do think there are a lot of competent modules and other tools for it that look very good. THe Mambo sites do have more of a commercial persona to them.

JackJ

I noticed on your site you're using the "CSLH" Crafty Syntax Line Help tool.

I need to provide some type of direct communication between the admin and users on a site I'm building. It looks like just want I'm looking for.

Would you please comment about it on a THREAD
I recently put up.

I've looked at several of the chat mods, but all I really need is something direct to the Admin to User thing. I'm concerned about any issues that should be addressed for a viable installation and especially any security issues.

I deleted all the verbiage you couldn't handle.

I'm off your wagon, you can rag on someone else.

I want My header - Left Column to remain on hyperlinking

I want to use some RSS feeds and other hyperlinked content, but to be honest...I want the user to have my header and left side column intact all the time on another site.

Also, I want the header and left column to remain fixed. In other words I want the rest of the site, whether hyperlinked off my site or within my XOOPS server to scroll below and within the constraints of my left column and header. I want this as a global feature, not a per module feature.

When the user leaves a hyperlinked site he is returned to my site, just like frames. Is this viable, or is there a workable frames hack to do what I'm thinking?

Again, Is it possible globally or would it be best per module?
