PHP 5.0.0 Released!

[13-Jul-2004] The PHP team is proud to announce the final release of PHP 5!

Some of the key features of PHP 5 include:

* The Zend Engine II with a new object model and dozens of new features.
* XML support has been completely redone in PHP 5, all extensions are now focused around the excellent libxml2 library (http://www.xmlsoft.org/).
* A new SimpleXML extension for easily accessing and manipulating XML as PHP objects. It can also interface with the DOM extension and vice-versa.
* A brand new built-in SOAP extension for interoperability with Web Services.
* A new MySQL extension named MySQLi for developers using MySQL 4.1 and later. This new extension includes an object-oriented interface in addition to a traditional interface; as well as support for many of MySQL's new features, such as prepared statements.
* SQLite has been bundled with PHP. For more information on SQLite, please visit their website.
* Streams have been greatly improved, including the ability to access low-level socket operations on streams.
* And lots more...

For changes since Release Candidate 3, please consult the ChangeLog:http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-5.php#5.0.0

We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in:
technology that gives abundance has left us in want.

Our knowledge has made us cynical,
our cleverness hard and unkind.

We think too much and feel too little:
More than technology we need humanity;
More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness.

Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

For the last and final time: we do not take a position in this.

Yes, xoops.org take a position
choosing this group as official support.
Dont?

And I'm warning you, if you keep using these forums for this discussion without any relevance for the general XOOPS community, you will get your second and final official warning.

ok.

As for there being one translation, if there are other translations, that's fine, as long as people know what they are choosing.

Herko, please
Is the same translation without the credits.
Again: respect my work.

What makes you think there is a problem? You react like it is wrong to commend another Brazillian community. Like your site should be the one and only,

sure! theres a lot of "XOOPS Brasil"... xooopsbrasil.com , xoopsbrasil.sf.net , xoops-br.blogspot.com

BUT ONLY ONE TRANSLATION

Quote:

but that's not true and we just wanted to show the XOOPS Brasil community that we appreciate their work.

Herko

The data base of XOOPS Brasil (with more than 18.000 users) was stolen, a "new" site was created, they are using my account [ID=1] with all my private messages. need more?

The name change is simple: I saw it referenced like that in the Brasillian XOOPS communities. But, seeing you object so much, I'll change it to XOOPS Brasil again.

Quote:

The reason for the name change is because the XOOPS Brasil community also has been given the Official XOOPS SUpport Site status, so now there are 2 Official Brazillian XOOPS Support sites. I needed something to distinguish them both.

So, in short: this was a XOOPS.org desicion that has NOTHING to do with petty rivalries between the two communities. The XOOPS Brasil site gets the Official status because they are a good addition to the support community, and Brasil is big enough for more then one Official Support Site.

please, respect my work herko.

Now, give it a rest, lobby isn't bad but trust our judgement in this...

xoops.org agree with this?

what is the problem with the original XOOPS Brasil?

How to behave on the XOOPS.org websites
The XOOPS Community is well known for it's friendlyness and willingness to help those who need it. In order to keep that reputation, and to be able to act on those instances where the reputation may be damaged, we have made a set of simple rules every member should abide by. This XOOPSiquette applies to all members at any time, on every part of the XOOPS.org websites. Registration for this website and/or use of the XOOPS websites constitutes as agreement to these Terms.

Avatars
Text - Do not spoof or post misleading text in your avatar, or it will be removed.
Content - Please use proper judgement when choosing an avatar. We like to promote a family atmosphere, and avatars that disrupt this will be removed.

Signatures
Images - Please do not use images in your signature, they distract from the main content of a post.
Sizes - Please do not change the size of the signature text.
Length - Please keep your signature to no more than three lines. We know this depends on the size of someone's monitor, so if it's more than three lines on kerz's monitor, it'll get removed :).

General Posting Guidelines
Crossposting - Please post your topic to one forum only. If it needs to be moved, alert a moderator.
Language - Please keep the use of offensive language to a minimum. We are here for people of all ages, and want everone to feel comfortable. Offensive language constitutes as profanity, racial, ethnic, and gender based insults or any other personal discriminations, and posts meant to offend or hurt any other member.
Spamming and Trolling - We do not tolerate spamming or off-topic trolling in any forum. If you do this, you will be warned once, and any further abuse will result in your account being deactivated, or even your IP being banned from the sites.
Topics - Please stay on topic. For general conversation, please use the General Discussions forum.
Links - Pornography, warez, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form.
Images - Please keep your images on topic and mind the size and dimensions, as not everyone may be on a broadband internet connection.
Be Nice! - We pride ourselves in being a tight-knit community that polices itself well, and we want to keep it that way. This means showing respect to all members.

If you abide by this XOOPSiquette, everyone will enjoy their participation the better!
