The footer was where I had placed a couple of them when I was evaluating analytics sites. I had no issues.

But you know of course, javascript won't give an accurate data picture due to the number of people browsing with scripting disabled.

*edit*
Also hosts files block most of those sites.. You may want to check yours to be sure that isn't the trouble.

I have the 2 part registration going on, and a pretty good .htaccess on my domain. xoops install is in a sub-directory with a different .htaccess

I have had several partial bot registrations , but none actually validated due to bad email addresses, or not filling out the second form.

It's an endless line of them daily making the attempt, and as of yet have had 0 spam posts in 1 1/2 years. (My directory structure confuses a lot of them)

Trabis is correct, but I'd caution against linking any "cloud" services into the basic profile module. I'm still not sold on cloud security.

StopForumSpam is THE resource as far as this stuff goes, and any ability to match to their database would be a great thing.

>>Modules administration
Look to the left for the module.
Change name to what you want.
Save.

Review your "session" settings. This is what I got:
1054 - Unknown column 'value' in 'field list'

select value from sessions where sesskey = 'b31f0cb0bd2b17183bf121a350495000' and expiry > '1315427925'

I need to add that the above was a result of this URL:

I forget where this is located here, but Wishcraft released a module called "WebCams 1.16".

You can grab it from my site:http://infernallogic.com/reguser/modules/TDMDownloads/singlefile.php?cid=2&lid=536

Ok, another minor bug has appeared...

When viewing the "Who's Online" window, people logged in are shown as using xim regardless of where on the site they actually are....

Ok, I found how to get to the admin menu...

You have to access it via the menu that appears "after" setting general preferences...
Cant get there from the regular menu options.

That is going to be an issue with the jquery in the 2.4.5 admin menu..

Let me do some more testing with the footer..

*edit*

Works like a charm. Thanks for your help Culex!

After completely re-installing, and adjusting group and block permissions/settings, it's working, however xim admin still gives a blank page..

On the bright side, the page format is fine, I just can't get to the footer settings to enable that feature.

Suggestion for everyone else:
Update the system and XIM module "after" setting group and block permissions.

I have to be missing something here....

*edit*
The inline debug info when trying to access the admin page returns this:
None All Errors (0) Deprecated (0) Queries (17) Blocks (0) Extra (5) Timers(5)

Ok, to partly answer Rod, 1 thing I'd like to see in any future version is a built in Multi-Lingual ability.

It isn't just needed, it should be a requirement for any CMS.

I also hinted at linking certain forum topics/categories between websites (in another sub-forum here), and as it will most likely take some provisioning at a core level, that would be a suggestion I would make for future consideration.
(It's obviously module specific for the most part of course, but the core should allow for the content sharing aspect of the idea to be usable by any forum module)

The more I know, the more I know that I really didn't wanna know.
