On our site registrations are authorised by admin, after checking email addresses and usernames on on various antispam sites.

Try adding current lists of spammers IP addresses to your protector lists especially after protector blocks one for a suspicious action.

try sites like FSpamlist and Stop Forum Spam to get your lists.

If you are using safari or chrome try another browser protector gets tripped up by the prefetching that those browsers do.

Obviously you'll have to clear protectors DB bad IP's first.

Have you set the default theme and only selectable theme both to your custom theme?

the system resizes them and displays the scaled down image (which is then - the scaled image - saved on your site), you probably need to investigate and make it clear to your users (say in your FAQ) the differences between prescaled links and plain images that get scaled by xoops.

The scaled image will be in the cache once it has been generated and viewed.

And work out which image hosting services links to use within your site.

As to what will and won't show from before - I have had headaches with some photohosting services changing the way they implement things.

How would I go about making a small conditional change to a theme say in theme.html so that only a set group or groups see it or have access to it

Obviously people belong to a group and have a groupid or multiple groupid

how did you load them ftp to uploads/avatars? if so the db won't know about them I suspect you'll need to upload them through the image manager into the avatars location

Unfortunately it's for all members not me

Has anyone had issues under 2.5 with the word censoring not working?

I have tried reloading list activating deactivating reactivating updating system module all to no effect.
