Jobs module and xForms : how make it talk together ?

hi'

I'm trying a module called Jobs listing. It does all what I want except two things :

• there is no upload field into the contact form. So when a user wants to respond to an offer, he can't attach his curriculum vitae

• I may be wrong but only registered users are allowed to use this contact form (strange, isn't it ?)

... so, my request. I also use a module called xForms. Is there a way to use a form created with xForms instead of Jobs' module one ? And to pass in the url the id of announce ?

Xoops 2.5.3

Thanks in advance.

hi'

Don't know how to activate notification by default, but to simplify users task, you could take a look to notification module :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xoofoo/files/Xoops/Modules/ (bottom of the list)

---

To replace pm by email method, I believe you just have to edit kernel/user.php :
Quote:
// RMV-NOTIFY
// $this->initVar('notify_method', XOBJ_DTYPE_OTHER, 1, false);
$this->initVar('notify_method', XOBJ_DTYPE_OTHER, 2, false);

(but for users already registered, you should write an sql request...)

hi'

Quote:
1. How can one module check to see if another module is installed?

I believe MusS has done something like that with his Content module and Tellafriend... I'm not sure

May be another way to proceed : create plugins files, sitemap and rssfit modules use such method.

hi

If the main criteria is "they will be very easy to use", I'm afraid we can't reach to five

More seriously I mean a theme is one thing and module template is another, totally different...

To be easy to use (= ready to use, it is the same ?), we need themes with a complete stylesheet, suitable with modules templates. So we should check if style.css contains :
• .odd {...}
• .even {...}
• .outer {...}
• etc ...

--> request to Mamba : when you will have 2 free minutes, could you intall xoops-style module onhttp://themes.xoops.org/ ? It would be more easy to check good themes :)

I believe these designers are talentued and took time to create complete themes :
1 • algalochkin
2 • aphex
3 • Bit3CR0
4 • bleekk
5 • insraq
6 • kris_fr
7 • mariane
(I can't remember others...)

If another criteria to select five themes is the ease to customize, we should consider that some are made with morphogenesis layout : 1, 6 and 7. In my opinion it would be a good idea to include one morphogenesis theme (at least).

A last thing to make a good selection : theme gallery is not really up to date (I do not remember who is supposed to update ... but it is surely an idler )

hi'

It seems there is a bug with xForms

If message is sent to Registered Users Group (option to set in form options), this message is displayed :
"Could not instantiate mail function"

Two things :
• the message is still sent to Registered users Group
• there is no matter if option is set to Admin Group or webite email (the two others options available in form options)

Note : Xoops 2.4.5, PHP5

hi'

You should open your table xxxx_users and find this user. There is a field called 'theme' : enter default

hi'

About Modules repository, we have :
• released in july Resource book, with more than 700 modules
• uploaded all module (I believe Mamba did it) on sourceforge

---

On my side, I had no more time to hunt new releases for each module since last summer. I believe there will no update for Resources book soon : only 4 users have send information about 10 or 12 modules.

The Resource book has been downloaded more than 500 times : sorry to point that, but it is just to confirm that we should find another solution and another xoopser to do the job
