Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /modules/system/admin/preferences/main.php line 50

I'm using Article 1.02 and XOOPS 2.014, and DHTML as my editor.. I can't seem to use any of the insert buttons e.g. the insert hyperlink, insert picture, insert code, picture manager button..

I get the following error messages when in debug mode:

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /kernel/imagecategory.php line 209

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /imagemanager.php line 53

However, all the buttons work while in debug mode.

Which news template file do you hack? is it the news_article.html or news_item.html?

do you just paste the google code inside?

hi shank.. i tried to install wf-quote.. and did the install that was suggested in the readme file that was included.. i uploaded wfquotes files to the modules.. then uploaded the groupaccess file to the XOOPS root directory under /include..

I had trouble validating the quotes, when my system replied no quotes to validate when in fact i just submitted 2 quotes...

then i tried your suggestion regarding the groupaccess.php in line 10.. and line 12 of admin/catergory.php.. etc..

but now a new error occurs..

"Fatal error: Undefined class name 'mytextsanitizer' in ../modules/wfquotes/admin/category.php on line 13

I have downloaded fckeditor and using XOOPS 2.0.14

I am wondering how to install fckeditor and make it the default editor for my whole site..

It's really hard to use the existing default editor for articles and News. When implementing html codes, the resulting articles and news do not look anything like its supposed to..

anyone out there using a dependable WYSIWYG editor that is compatible with xoops?

I am also trying to install fckeditor.. I have a cubecart ecommerce site in one of my websites and frankly, it's a great editor...

When i try to use html right now with the current default editor that comes with xoops.. Everything just comes out wrong and looking wierd..

I wish the developers would have focused on the editors since XOOPS is made to be a CMS...

Is anyone out there using fckeditor for xoops? and if you are, any success??

What are the steps for implementation?

hey finalcore1.. i found the help we needed.. here's a quote:

"In 2.0.14 the custom block can be assigned to the Anonymous group in the control panel/system admin/groups page. Look for Edit Group and select Modify Anonymous Users. The Modify Group form will open. Look under Block Access Rights for Your Custom Block Title and check the box next to it.

Webmasters and registered users automatically have access to custom blocks."

I'm having the same problem... i've added a custom html block, but for some wierd reason, the blocks do not appear in the anonymous section of the blocks administration panel.. so, you're not able to add the custom html block for anonymous users... i hope there's a mod for this..

suggestion: I would start a thread, and title the following "custom html block, not showing for anonymous users"

I'm sure this would get more response. please pm me if you get replies and i will also try to look around for the both of us.. lol...
