mX-Directory Error

Xoops 2.0.16 / Mx-Directory 3.1 / Php 5.1.6 / MySQL 4.1

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ';' in C:\Inetpub\sisson\www\templates_c\Sisson-sisson^%%4B^4B3^4B3E9984%%db%3Axdir_index.html.php on line 3

I have this same error on 2 of 3 XOOPS installations usin mX-Directory. All sites are hosted on the same server. I have no clue what is causing this error or why I do not have it on one of the sites.

Here's the error we get when clicking on email this post:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getVar() on a non-object in C:\Inetpub\pridedepot-cms\www\modules\wordpress\templates\wordpress\header.php on line 3

Isn't that the same plug-in you pointed me to earlier that I already tried? Or is this one modified for XPress

Thanks - because it is XPress, we were not sure if it was compatible. The version of XPress is 2.04 but we do not know if that is the core version of the WordPress that was used to make XPress or not. Would you know?

What about adapting the code in the News module to work in XPress? Any ideas on that one?

I think my post title is a bit misleading. I do not want to post to the blog using email.

I want users to be able email a specific post out from the blog to a friend from the site, much like you can in the News Module.

xAsseT & PHP5 Issue

Xoops 2.014 / xAsset 0.93
PHP 5.1.6 / IIS 6.0 /MySQL 4.1

The module was installed and properly configured everything. When performing a test using the Bill Me payment option. Everything worked and the file downloaded with no problem.

Today I go to make a few changes (PayPal email, Redirect URL) and tested it again. This time, when I go to the My Downloads page, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type xassetUserPackageStats as array in C:\Inetpub\pridedepot-cms\www\modules\xasset\class\userPackageStats.php on line 135

The developer said this was related to the version of PHP I had and the he was unable to provide support for PHP v5.x

Has anyone made this module compatible with PHP5 or know how to guide me in fixing this?

First let me say I am NOT a programmer. However I can do some minor code modifications if I have clear instructions. With that said….

I need to add the same kind of email article option that is like what is on the News module for all the permanent link posts in Xpress: URL Example: ( ../modules/wordpress/?=### ). I am assuming that this URL is generated from the wordpress/templates/wordpress/single.php file.

We did try the email plug-in for WP but it is not working and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it. The person who installed it for me suggested that it was perhaps because the plug-in was for a standalone version for WP, and not specifically for “XPress”..

I would appreciate some help on this. I think this would be a great addition to Xpress and would help my users exchange information and in turn boost traffic.

This is my very first XOOPS site and I have learned a lot since this installation. I have a number of things that need fixing that we are currently working on. Please keep in mind that when and if we upgrade the XOOPS core and modules that I would hope this function would not break.

Interstingly enough I found out that I had Protector deactivated however XOOPS did in fact ban my IP in prefrences. I have re-activated Protector and will re-visit the settings.

Any ideas?

I reset my rounter and no diffrence. I am not sure what IP might be blocked if it is my site only or my ISP's IP. I will go to another location or do what you suggest.

P.S. I did not mean Macintosh or PC I meant Mac Address for the NIC on my server
