Nope I just took everything from
www.lifensoulonline.co.uk/testing

and stuck it in the directory. Thought that would work.

Never mind :) just realised I can do it in the admin module link area. Instead of being lazy and looking for the link on the main site :)

Thanks. I've commented it out, problem now is, it also effects Admin, so Admin is unable to submit links :(

Not really sure what I'm doing, but think I've installed it right and put the files in the right directory but I get this error.

XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run.

Is there anyway I can play with XOOPS offline on my own PC at home, instead of having to upload my changes all the time to see how they'd look.

Moving the whole site from one place to another

I have XOOPS set up on this site

www.lifensoulonline.co.uk/testing

This was for testing purposes to see if I could understand XOOPS and if I could work out how to edit it for my needs. I'm still learning it but enjoy it and its perfect for what our site needs to do. However, our site is at

www.theskepticexpress.com

Over at lifensoulonline I have XOOPS installed in the Testing directory. Is it ok to just copy everything in the testing directory over to www.theskepticexpress.com and will it still continue to work?

Done the same on mine 'cause I don't really need people to register. However, if they click on something that they aren't allowed access to, the login or register area pops up. How do you stop this.

For example, if you go to weblinks and clicked Submit Link, it will tell you that you don't have permission, but then knock you back to the user login page, which I don't want, but might switch on user logins at a later date.

OK I found aloud of what looked like temp files in templates_c directory. Deleted those and refreshed the site. Now its fixed it.

Might be an easier way but that work so its fine now.
