Indeed, 960 GS will be applied. But 960 is just a CSS framework, it cannot do everything. And how to integrate the homepage layout with the content is of vital importance. I think I can achieve this by using "Blocks Anywhere" modules or hacks. But I can not think of a way that can avoid the customization when applying the theme.

Inspire theme has been released (as a BETA) for some time. I hope you guys have fun playing with it.
There are still some bugs Inspire 1.0 beta. Hopefully I will fix it in a week and release the final version.
Meanwhile, I've started to work on Inspire 2.0. It is a totally different theme(see the mock up design).

I'm still working on the details of the design and If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'll shift from Mootools, which inspire 1.0 uses to JQuery.
I'll ask the XOOPS China community whether they prefer inspire 1 or inspire 2 to be applied on xoops.org.cn
