Whenever I edit an existing file, and select the option to post it as a news item, when I save the page it just goes blank on me and the changes are not saved. I seem to be able to make all of the other edits that I want, just the news thing.

I do have news installed and as far as I know it works.

Any ideas on that one?

Thanks!

Yes, the list is there - but not how to add to it... i'll try and check this later for you.

Actually, I can add to it. It's not quite where skenow said, but I found it.

The path on my XOOPS is Administration Menu -> Preferences -> wfDownloads

Cool - thanks all. Not sure how I missed that :)

Hi All,

I want to modify the list of licenses that a user can select from when uploading a file with the wfDownloads XOOPS module. I've been through the admin pages and through the database itself, but I don't see where this list is generated from.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I posted this to the Q&A forum, but no bites, so I thought I would post it here:

I can't really explain this very well, but if you take a look at my forums here:

http://www.jonwatson.ca/blog/modules/newbb/

You will see that the Main Options show up as a list rather than a drop down box:
Main Options
Main Options
Mark all forums read
Mark all forums unread
View all topics
View Digest
View unreplied topics
View unread topics
Admin CP

The problem with this is that it creates an abnormally high header on top of the forums which, while functional, is ugly.

I think this is supposed to be a drop down list, no? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

It seems that there's something wrong with my dhtml or something but I'm pretty sure it's site-side. I've tried it on three different computers with many different browsers and the result is the same.

Thanks!

HI All,

I'm nearing the end of my migration and have stumbled across an unexpected error.

None of the RSS feeds coming off my XOOPS installation will validate. Orignally I thought it was just the Wordpress module, but I've tried the forums and the wordpress module (full and comments) and neither will validate. The error is always the same:

Feeds should not be served with the "text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" media type [

For the Wordpress module, I went in and changed all the feed php files to an application/xml media type, and then updated the module, but I still get the same error. I don't know why, because the text/html isn't in there anymore, but the feedvalidator still shows it.

Any ideas...?

Hi All,

I'm experiencing a sporadic problem. In many cases (although not all the time) when I go to my XOOPS URI directly, the main page loads and after a seconds pause, it takes me to the login screen.

Seems to only happen in Firefox (although I don't use Windows so I can't test IE).

Has anyone seen this before? Small annoyance but annoying nevertheless.

Thanks!

J

Hello All,

I've put a comment in the module comments hoping the author will see it and I've attempted to go to the author's site, but I can't at work because we block Japanese domains (don't get me started on our IT policies…grrr).

I am running xhld and using the Recent Headlines block. It works flawlessly and I love it, but I'd like to make a small mod to it. Out of the box, it displays each headline with the name of the originating site in brackets beside it. I am running 4 instances of xhld and each block only contains one site's headlines. I have put the name of the originating site as each block's title and therefore there is no need to have it displayed after each headline. Further, I am running the block in centre/left and center/right so horizontal space is at a premium.

I've taken a look through the template files, and I see a few places where I think the site title is being added. However, changing the template has no effect.

Does anyone know which file(s) I need to mod to get rid of the titles?

Thanks!

Jon
