in the list of 'you should see on the left' I don't see any 'users' link. My webhoster has phpmyadmin version 2.5.2

I only see: create database, show procesess, databases, export and logout.

any reason why I don't see the other links you listed in your tutorial?

hey djsckizo that site looks pretty neat. By the way, what were the files you changed in order to make it fit into your theme. I know I did some changes in some files and changed 'columns=60' to 'columns=48' in several files. I did a search for columns in the whole ipboard files and replace the number of columns for the text boxes accordingly. This is to help our fellow kernelxp with his ipboard.

I doubt it it can be displayed in its own page if it's installed as a XOOPS module. What I did to go around this in one of my sites was editing some of the files that are related with the displacement of columns and rows in the boxes. that fixed almost most of the pages in my site, except the page to send private messages to users. see the results athttp://www.naccion.org (forum link)

Most often the HaCKorZ leave themselves a backdoor, if possible and an autorooter used. This is one cause for these 'shame' Redefacements.

The problem whith this hacker coming back to do more damage is a big problem, mainly in XOOPS hosted (not run localy). The responsability to patch the server is in the hands of the webhosters but we can't do much about it.

you were right dnxoops on that.. I was so overwhelm with the replacing of all the index.php files that i overlooked the file theme.html. this file some how was replaced to but was renamed to theme_.html and I noticed it just before started to deleting all the tables from the database :) lucky me I didn't have to go to all that process again, now the 2 sites are back to normal.

I do really appreciate all the help and suggestions here in this post.. Just be aware one day you may get hit by this hackers and make your work double.

Regards.

i would recomend foxserv fromhttp://www.foxserv.com which has all the pieces of the puzzle together in one file. has apache, perl, MySQL and cgi . I did tryed once and XOOPS localy worked fine. now I used XOOPS hosted on a linux.

where do I download the zip version of xcgallery. the link to the version 1.1 takes me to a gz file, I would like a zip if available.

I have xoopsgallery athttp://www.naccion.org but I like the presentation of photo-albums better with xcgallery module.

I found this long thread about blank pages HERE but most of them refer to a blank page after installation, my sites have been up and running for 8 months the most and the other for 4 months without a hitch.

I'm going to backup the dbase from phpmyadmin and after that I will delete all the tables so I can reinstall XOOPS again. then I will try to backup the tables that have data in it like the users table. any suggestion on a better solution before I start messing things up ?

I doubt that has something to do with PHP conf in the server, otherwise the sitehttp://www.naccion.org which is in the same shared ip address wouldn't work.. I'm trying to fix the sitehttp://www.mrch.org which will give me the answer to fix the other one that is showing a blank page.

as I posted I reeplaced all the index.php files for a fresh copy, and somehow the site was pointing to /install/index.php so I uploaded a fresh copy of mainfile.php and since that I got blank pages.
