I suspected that it would not be easy, but you never know.
How do I add fields in the XOOPS pm module then? What php file shall I look in? How do I make it possible to add file attachments and to upload an image to put in the message?

Ps: for start, how do I set the size of the pm message box that appears when you click on pm button? the box is to smal and scrolbars appears, I do not like the look of it and would prefer if the window wher a little bit bigger.

Anyone that can help me with the rest I would be glad.

Martin

Custom made your forms, like liaise for instance, and make it availble to replace the XOOPS internal pm with your custom made forms. Features like file attachment, image atachment like in liaise would be great. And you should also be able to choose wich member to post, like in the regular XOOPS pm messages.

This would be a useful module I think.

Hi!

1. When I create a new user and choose group "A" the new user do not belongs to group "A", it is in the default "registered user" group. Why is that? How can I fix this?

2. When a new user sign up he/she belongs to the default "registered user" How can I set so they end up in group "A?"

3. I can not rename the default registered user because I will use that group for other purpose.

Please help.

Thanks for the info, but that is not what I want to do. I want to exchange the XOOPS pm form and use my custom made liaise form. So if someone click on the pm button in user info, they will be taken to my custom made form, instead of the normal XOOPS form.

I have figured out that I need to change somthing in "viewpmsg.php" but I do not know what to change. However I am not sure this is the right file to alter, but I guess...

Anyone that can help me?

How do I make my XOOPS site to use a liaise form for pm messages and internal posts? I guess I just have to change the link adress for pm button and for send button in users account managment. But I do not know in what file or files I shall look in to change it. Anyone have an idea in how to make this work?

Maybe you solved this now. But I also had problem before, but it is solved now. Not sure what problem you had,I had problem with the links in the recent news block, see this link for solutionhttps://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=45153&start=0#forumpost198092

I have no problem at all with the system below.
If your news posting is very long I think you have to devide it int to parts, but I have not written so long texts yet.

Xoops version 2.0.13.2
Xlanguage 2.4
news 1.44

It is working for me, hope it will work for you.

Regards, Martin
